Magic bands and magical express

I received my magic bands today but the magical express tags weren't with them. I thought those were supposed to be shipped together.

I believe it is the luggage tags that come with the bands, if you booked a package check under the bands to find your luggage tags.

The Magic Express tags (the yellow airport tags) always come separately. They will come in the mail.

Don't feel bad. I lost count of how many people say Luggage Tags but mean ME tags and say ME tags but mean Luggage Tags.

Just in case someone is searching and this info helps I'll try to spell it out here

Luggage Tags - come in the Magic Band box and are offered to all who book a package, and only those who book a package. It doesn't matter if you are flying or driving. The style of luggage tag included is based on the color of MB selected. These are used to put your name on your bags

Magical Express tags - (Domestic flights) yellow tags that go on your luggage to indicate to handlers that your bags go to Disney not the luggage carousal, if you arrive between the hours it's offered, 5 AM to 10 PM I think. Anyone who registers their flight with Disney will receive these. They came in an envelope with a letter that confirms you are down to ride ME to the Resort. If memory serves me right the letter also shows your flight info and the tags show your resort name. But don't fret if they don't arrive or are lost. You can provide your luggage claim checks to the ME staff and they will still get your bags for you. And they are not required if you want to retrieve your luggage yourself you can do this. Just leave them off. They normally send 1 tag per person. If you need more, call and then will send additional tags. If we change resorts after registering with ME I always let them know so I can get corrected tags. I believe they will still find you based on the confirmation number but I don't like to take chances with my luggage.

Thanks for the info. I got my Magic Bands today, but there were no souvenir luggage tags. I was upset, but then I read here you had to book a package. I am room only.

I'm assuming that Magic Bands and Magical Express items ship at around the +/- 30 day mark? Our Magical Express information was lost on the trip last year and we had to get a rush order place. We put this one in months in advance, so i really don't know the schedule.

Yes, the MB ship at approx 30-20 days out
The ME tags are a bit more random. It used to be about 10 days out but now I get them at all different times.
How far out are you now?

This is how it's been for us the last year.
We've gotten the tags as soon as I gave the flight info, however many days it takes to print and mail them.
And we've gotten them closer to our flights.
I have had more than 1 time where they didn't register the flight info when I called to do it on the phone. I always do it online now.

They actually came in the same packets as my voucher book. But now that I think of it, I called with the flight info that week too.

I got my ME tags super early for this trip....earlier than ever before.
About a month ago for a mid January trip.

That may well be the norm, I don't know since we book room only. We never get voucher books, just ME tags. For us they come in their own mailing.
Can others chime in? Do the ME tags commonly come in the voucher book?
