Magic Bands and Friends/Family

Hello. Spoke with an IT CM this weekend. Trying to link tickets for my brother and his family to my reservation (he's staying in a studio, points by us). The CM said we can't do FP or link tickets until 30 days out from check-in. Is this correct? We were able to link our AP vouchers to mine and my husband's account. Also, I have my brother and his family listed under my friends and family. When I try to add their ticket numbers, the next page to choose who belongs to what ticket shows an empty page...as if they (my family) isn't linked somehow. Before calling IT again, does anyone have the exact steps to take to:
1. link family/friends to your reservations
2. enter the ticket #s to choose those family/friends

You were given bad info. You can link tickets at any time. Magic Band customization opens up about 60 days before check in. The FP+ selection window opens right at 60 days out.

Before you do anything else, go into your Friends and Family. Make sure each of them is marked as "This Guest Often Travels with Me". That will move them up to your Family list. This should fix the problem you have been having.

If you have any more issues call back. While there is often a lot of misinformation from front-line phone CMs, there are also some great ones. If you feel like you are being given wrong information just thank them, hang up and call back.
