Magic Bands and DVC Ticket Options

The move towards using Magic Bands for room keys, tickets, etc. makes me wonder if Disney will rethink ticket options for DVC members. I am guessing that a large portion of guests booking at the "regular" Disney resorts book packages that include tickets. As DVC members, that is not currently an option. Back when we joined DVC, members were offered discounted length-of-stay tickets, which is not currently an option. With the demise of no expiration date tickets (and rumors of an end to the DVC discount for APs), I wonder if many of us will be pushed to buy (more expensive on a per day basis) length-of-stay tickets as a part of our DVC reservations. Any thoughts?

The no-expire option is STILL available, it's just not available if you purchase tickets on-line. It's still available if you purchase by phone or at WDW. Ticket resellers (Undercover Tourist, Maple Leaf Tickets, etc) all still sell tickets with the no-expire option.

Yep. Just wondering how long the option will last. :-)

They push for AP's so that you come back for more trips within the year. That AP tends to call out "take me to WDW, you don't have to buy tickets!". More stays = more points.
