DH and I are at WDW now. Today is our last day; we fly home tomorrow. We have been using magic bands and I think they are the cat's meow in terms of convenience. Really, it is super slick to have access to everything you need right on your wrist.
We had no problems with our bands except yesterday morning at the MK. We entered the park a bit after 9 am and everyone in our line to enter the park was having problems with them, including us. The CM told me that they have been having "problems every day at 9:10 in the morning". Well, it slows things down that's for sure.
We did witness other people having problems with their bands. Definitely problems at park entry throughout the week, FP entry points and even at our resort. We are staying at AKV-Jambo and on our way back from AK this afternoon, there was a family schlepping back to the front desk because their bands would not get them in their room.
There does seem to be bugs but overall, I think magic bands are a good idea.
