Magic band ??

If this is not the right place please delete. We go in the fall and get 4 more bands with this trip but i was thinking on getting a few on shop disney .how would i go about activating them so i use them and not the bands they send?

Just enter the ID numbers on the bands into MDE for each person you in your MDE account. There is nothing to activate.

You can use the bands you buy and the ones you get sent. Just put the number on the back of the band into MDE.

Bands are merely keys to allow access into your MDE account. Nothing is "on the band" except an access number. All active bands associated with type MDE account can be used interchangeably - just like having multiple keys to your front door.

Yes, you don't even need to deactivate the old ones. You can leave them all active.

Yes, because the bands themselves don't control the account. They are merely a way to access your account. There's really no need to deactivate the old ones. You can have all of them activate on your account but only use your new ones. Pretty much everybody does it this way, and many people probably don't even realize you can deactivate bands.
