Magic band/undercover tourist ticket?

If we are staying onsite but bought tickets from UT will we still get Magic Bands? And can I link those tickets to the band? And will I still get the 60 day FP+ booking window?

Yep, you'll just have to link the tickets on my disney experience, and once you do that, you'll be able to make your magic bands and do everything else you normally can (including FP+).

I believe you'd get a Magic Band even if you were staying on site and didn't have tickets at all. They seem to be generated based on Resort reservations, not tickets.

If you need to get the numbers from the tickets before you receive them (to make your FP) then just call UT, they can give you the numbers.

Yes, this is exactly what we did. Made our resort reservations, then bought our tickets from UT. We linked the tickets to our reservations, and our FP+ window opened at 60 days out. We were able to customize our MagicBands and received them in the mail yesterday. Only 25 days to go!!
