Magic band tracking question

I got the email this morning that our bands have been shipped with a tracking number. I've checked the tracking and it's not showing up. Does it take awhile for it to start tracking?

It can take 24-48 hours for tracking to update.

Also, it often says delivered several days before they actually arrive. Not the best tracking.

Ours showed no action for like a week. Then they just showed up at our door.

We have a split stay. Our 2nd set tracked as getting delivered in 8 days. Our first set never updated tracking and showed up the day before them which was 4 days before tracking even updated to say the post office had them then automatically said delivered same day. The magic band tracking is awful. They will show up you just can't realy on the tracking to tell you when.

It will also do a tour of the US before going to your house, It should be at your house any where from 4 to 10 days after it leaves Disney ( or where ever it leaves from)

That generally means it's been delivered to the closest PO to you. It's annoying, but it's a bonafide part of the tracking, per USPS.

Mine showed they wouldn't be delivered until tomorrow. They arrived Monday. The magicband tracking really stinks.

Actually, USPS does a decent job, the issue is the provider that has them before USPS gets them. I ship through USPS all the time as a small business owner, and I rarely have tracking issues or inaccuracies.

Same. I do quite a bit of shipping through eBay or PayPal and always use USPS, have always had reliable tracking info

I would agree anytime I've shipped something it seems to be great tracking info but anytime I'm the recipient especially when it's not priority mail it's very delayed or something. I can't put my finger on it but there is times I wish stuff went another shipper.

I have two sets coming. I just looked and they still say they were picked up on the 5th from the shipping partner at 5:07pm and they haven't posted since. Are they just sitting there? They were picked up from Florida and I live in SC. How hard is that.

It can be hard they ship from FL. I live in FL but they take a vacation across the US before getting to me.

The current shipping method is a JOKE. We live about 50 miles from where they originate, but they still go up to IL before heading back to FL.

Glad I found this thread! I was starting to worry about my bands.

Another thread explains it very well. Basically, a trucking company picks the bands up in Florida and hauls them to Illinois before handing them over to the post office there. Some money is changing hands somewhere for a deal like that.

I think they come from the warehouse somewhere in TN.

My email says the exact same thing as yours and I got the email on 5/5
