Magic Band Shipping FYI

I don't know if this has already been reported but it doesn't look like Disney is overnight shipping magic bands anymore. At least they didn't for me they sent them through the regular USPS. Estimated shipping like 5-7 days.

I had until 30 day mark to customize bands. I had heard that they are overnight shipped in the past but this i what My Disney Experience says "Status: Shipped to Ashleigh via USPS
Estimated delivery: Feb 23-25, 2014". Not that there is anything wrong with it being shipped with regular mail I just know people like to know these things.

I can confirm this as well. Last month they were sent UPS Next Day Air for our January trip.

Today I just got a tracking number for the MagicBands for our March trip. They are being sent US Postal Service Parcel Post.

Yesterday the second set of bands was sent out via USPS and hasn't even left the destination as of Wednesday afternoon. I imagine it will take at least a week at the snail USPS rate.

Same here. Split stay coming up and 1st set shipped overnight UPS - 2nd set shipped USPS. However I think they shipped on Thursday or Friday and got here on Tuesday - even with Monday being a holiday.

Got ours yesterday. They were sent USPS as well. Sent Friday, arrived Tuesday.

Why not send them USPS. No rush to get the bands as long as you have them before you leave, and it saves some money. Doesn't really hurt anything, besides the USPS can use all the customers they can get.

I don't think anyone was saying it was bad, just a change from how it was previously done. Geez does EVERYTHING have to be labeled a complaint these days?

Thanks for the heads up! I would have been panicking, not because I really need them a month early, but I had read that they were shipped overnight. (yeah I'm a little OCD for Disney).

Yesterday was my last day to customize mine. I just went on the MDE app to look at the status, and mine says "Pick up your customized MagicBand order at your Resort Front Desk." I was looking forward to receiving them in the mail. My shipping address is on the next screen. Did I do something wrong that caused them not to be shipped?

We received an email on Tuesday, Feb 18th saying that our MB's had shipped via USPS. Our bands arrived today.

I would be disappointed not to get mine.

BTW, those of you not getting then through the mail, are you taking the bus from the airport? I've heard that some people use the bands to get on the bus. But I know that isn't the only way available.
