Magic Band Selection (purchase)

We're staying at the Dolphin in July so we have to buy our Magic Bands rather than getting them from the resort. We have older ones from 2018 but given the possibility that the battery won't work (esp for long distance ride photos) we decided we'll buy new ones.

I was disappointed on the Disney Store website by the selection. Yes, there's 46 of them and we should certainly each find something we like - but my wife wants a character from the Frozen movies and nothing is available.

I suspect this is still the recommended place to buy them - any third party website might be old and again have to consider that the battery may be weak

Are there any other official places to buy the bands online?

I don't know about online, but if you're willing to wait until you get to the parks, there are a TON of options available onsite. Maybe tap in with your old bands and then make it your first stop to buy new ones?

That's a good idea, but then we have to switch the codes for the fast passes etc "on the run" so to speak. It was nice having that all set up ahead of time.

MagicBands just access your MDE account (basically), so you just have to add a magicband to your account and it will link to everything you have already booked.

Nothing to "switch" -- just link the new bands to your MDE. Enter the park using your old bands, buy new bands and link them. Then both old and new will work for park entry and FP+, and the new bands will work for ride photos. (So the next day you may want to leave the old bands in the room, but they will all work).

Also - it's been my experience when buying them onsite that the CM checking you out will also ask if you'd like help linking them to your MDE. It's easy enough to do yourself, but it's always nice to know the help is there!

If you dont want to wait, etsy has some great decals. I was surprised how great they look.

I concur with the posters above: waiting until you get to the parks will give you TONS of options that are not really available otherwise.

It is really easy to convert it as well...
