Magic Band Reader Error Message - Help!

I’ve contacted IT, worked with guest services, no one knows what’s going on. We got upgraded magic bands a few months ago prior to our trip. We are here now, just arrived yesterday. We are able to use the bands for everything from using snack credits to opening our room HOWEVER - when we go to use a dining table credit or charge on the band the point of service receives an error message: “No Settlement Found”.
We have to take the band off then the wait staff have to manually enter the band code on the underside of the band and everything goes through.
Internet search has resulted in nothing. I’m hoping you guys know more than me which is 100% possible bc this is my first time using a magic band.

Could you purchase an inexpensive magic band and link it to your account to see if it clears up the trouble? I realize that you'd incur a cost, but from what it sounds like, it would only have to be one band (for the person who typically pays at a TS or for purchases). Can't think of any other approaches that would "fix" the problem.

I’m going to give that a shot - there was a band i wanted anyway so now I have an actual excuse to buy it.

Had that happen to us but mine didn’t work no matter how it was entered. Has nothing to do with how you got the band. It’s a glitch. Took almost an hour for the resort to sort it out. No one has ever seen it before our trip last fall. They got every manager at the resort involved to fix it. They never could tell me what caused it. But after multiple attempts to fix and me to charge it finally worked
