Magic Band questions

When do the Magic Bands get mailed? Is it something we have to set up? Haven't been since October 2013 so this is our first trip since magic bands started. I know what they are used for I'm just not sure of the process of actually receiving them.

The magic bands get mailed ~30 days before your vacation. If you go to "MagicBands and Cards" in MDE there is a button to click to customize the bands. You will type in the name you'd like printed on each persons band, as well as select the color. If you do not do this step then everyone in your party will receive the default grey band. You can change the names/colors up until that 30 day mark. After that the selections are final and your package will ship! For example, Thursday was the last day I could change my selections, I got the email this morning that mine shipped and our vacation starts August 21st.

Do you have an on site resort reservation? If you do, then you just need to follow the directions given by mjdis.

Do you live in the US? Then your MBs will ship 3-4 weeks before your arrival date. If you live outside the US, you will get your MBs when you check into the resort.

Thanks! We do have reservations. We rented points and are staying at AKV Kidani May 6th-13th 2017. I have my reservation number also. So if I log into the Disney website with my reservation number I can customize our bands now?

You should be able to. I don't see there being an issue logging in. If you go to the Disney World website, sign in and you'll see like other users have said, a little page link called "Magic Bands and Cards" from there its very self explanatory. Good Luck!
