We are considering staying offsite this time. My granddaughter has a magicband from our last resort stay from June. Would she still be able to use that and link her park tickets for FP, or since were not staying at a resort is the band no longer usable?

Yes, you can use a MB for linking to a park ticket if you're offsite. You just can't buy anything with it.

"Yes" on the ability to use an older MB.

Just a note for clarity...
You don't link tickets (or anything else) "TO" a MagicBand.

You can put her tickets into her MDX account (they may already be there) and any MB that is in her name will allow those tickets to be used at the parks.
Ditto about the MDX for making advance FP booking.
