Magic band question..

I have to customize my MBs. Do you have to put your full name on it or can you put a nick name?

I used my nickname. I think you can put anything you want to on it. Some people only use initials.

This year we Choose our favorite Disney characters, I’m tinkerbell (actually tink 2019, because I like having the year) my daughter is jasmine 19, my son is jack jack (couldn’t fit numbers with it). I thought it was a cute thing to do while customizing the bands that make them sort of special for us.

You only have 9 characters (including spaces). You can put anything on them. Whatever you chose is merely printed on the back of the band. It isn't stored in MDE or anywhere else. It's just a way for a family to keep bands straight even when people have the same color bands.

You don't have to put anything on it. Or you can put what ever you want on it. There are no rules at all!

Hi @babesboo99 - FYI, I moved your post to the Resorts board since MagicBand selection and customization is associated with a Disney resort reservation.

We put our initials and month/year, just so I can keep track of its age.

I like the idea of putting the date of the trip on the MB. I'm going to start doing that!
