Magic band question

We are headed to Disney next week. My brother and sister (both adults) decided they both want to come for part of the trip. My brother will be coming from Saturday-Tuesday and my sister will be coming from Wednesday - Saturday with no overlapping time. My brother was a last minute addition and I was told if we add him to the reservation (we bought points from a DVC member and will be staying at the Grand Floridian Villas) he would need to be on the dining package which would mean we would have a week's worth of extra meals. This is a waste to me as I don't understand why they can't split one plan since they won't be there the same days. As of right now, the plan is just have them share a magic band and roll the dice. Now I see there is a fingerprint scan involved...ugh! I have a 3 day ticket for my brother and a 4 day ticket for my sister and neither are linked yet. So, my question is.....after my brother has come and gone, will it reset when I add my sister's park ticket? I am not trying to be cheap, we are spending about $20k for this trip after accommodations, park tickets, airfare, stroller rental, memory maker etc. I just can't justify paying extra for meals that won't be used. HELP!

Don't add your brother or sister until you arrive. When you check in add your brother to the reservation. This means he can't ride magic express unless he arrives after you. Then when he checks out, add your sister.
If you have the room in the room, you can just add both when you arrive/

My brother will be driving so he won't need magical express. So when I get there I just tell them he is a last minute addition? The villa is 2 bedroom, sleeping 9 so there is plenty of room. This will eliminate magic band issues? They won't make us buy an additional meal plan for him? Thanks so much for your help!

When we checked in to BC last October they wouldn't let me just add my daughter & bf for the 3 days they were going to be there. They had to be on the entire time & we were RO reservations. I went round & round about that because it was
an extra $50 for no one to be in room with us. Maybe it's changed. Good luck!

Since the OP is in a villa there is no extra charge for an adult. So even if they have to register for the entire time, not a problem.

OP - they will give you a new Magic band for them (grey) and you actually cant buy the dining plan at that point. So no issues with that.
