We have a split stay coming up.

Do we have to have 2 separate bands sent? Can the entire stay be combined onto one band?
I haven't done anything yet because I don't want to decline bands for either stay and blitz it out for the whole time.

Experts---what's the best way to deal with this?

Also.....I have several other "active" bands from previous stays. Should I deactivate or delete? One of them is a specialty band that I like. Can I load my new stay onto that one?

Thanks in advance!

All active bands are connected to your account. There is no information on the band. So if you book a reservation using your my disney experience account that those bands are connected to, all your bands are active on the reservation. You can deactivate old ones that you don't want to use if you want. I did that with some bands from awhile ago.

Nothing is "loaded" on to magic bands. Any active bands can access your MDE info, but that info is not actually "on" the band.
If there are 2 colors of magic bands that you don't have yet, get them, they're free!
If you don't want them because you have enough, decline them and use what you already have.
If they are older, though, you should get new ones because the batteries do run out eventually.

You can decline them if you don't want them.
Personally my opinion is I'm paying for them one way or another so I'm not declining.
Any band will work throughout your stay.
They are interchangeable.

You can order a band for each stay. You can use old ones you have. You can use your special one. You can wear a different color each day you are there to match your outfit. They all work for you if they are assigned to you.

Every band you ever use will have the same information on it - an identifier that points to your MDE account. That's it. There's no stay info, ticket info, credit card info on the bands. You can use them all interchangeably, no need to deactivate or delete any of them.

Your stay information "lives" in your MDE account on Disney's servers, so there's nothing to load on your specialty band. If you've used it previously, it's already linked to your MDE account.

As always, you guys are awesome! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me.

Hi, From your DME: 1) Click "magic bands and cards" to open the page (do not click customization) 2) Under "your orders" you will see "MagicBand Order" 3) below "MagicBand Order" you should see "Quantity: #__" 4) below "Quantity: #__" click "Declined MagicBands"

Thank you but the page does not give me the option to decline.... I guess I will just two sets of bands. No big deal. Thank you very much for your help!!
