magic band question - room only reservation

I just got new magic bands a few months ago when we renewed our annual pass. We are staying on property for the first time in a few years - no magic band last time!

Going in July (booked just a few days go) Just got an email saying we need to customize our bands before they are shipped to us. We don't need more bands. Can I somehow hook up the bands we have for our annual pass to our resort reservation?

You can decline the new set of Magic Bands for your room only reservation. No need to do anything else. As long as the Magic bands you already have are active on your MDE account, they will work for your resort room.

Yes they will will load whatever ticket media you have to your active bands. I also usually decline new bands as we have had several. I learned that you can take old bands to WDW on you next trip and turn them in so that they can recycle them.
