Magic Band Question? Not using Disney.com

If we use a different booking site other than disney.com. Do we still get free Magic Bands? We would be booking Resort & tickets,

Yes everyone staying onsite gets the MB. After you book you will have to link your resort reservation yourself to your MDE account.
You may also have to be more proactive getting your Magical Express documents (if your using it) as the booking site technically owns your reservation not you. You will also have to be sure and get your ticket #'s so you can also link them to your MDE and make your FP+ at 60 days.

Honestly it would have to be an amazing discount for me to book using a 3rd party and give up control of my reservation.

Orbitz is my new best friend. I currently have two room only reservations that I booked through Orbitz, and yes they are significant savings over booking directly through Disney, even over my Annual Passholder, Florida Resident or Disney Visa discounts. I have not given up any "control" of my reservations. Once I linked my Orbitz reservation to My Disney Experience, I am able to make FP reservations, ADR's and customize my magic bands just like any reservations that I have made directly through Disney. We live in Florida, so we don't use Magical Express.

The only thing you have to be careful with when booking through a third party is when customizing magic bands. Make sure that the mailing address is yours, not the company of the third party.

The only real drawback I see when booking through a third party is either their cancellation policy, and that the reservation has to be paid in full. I have no problem with either.

Disney has no loyalty program. I like using a loyalty program.

You just need to get the Disney confirmation number and enter it in. Done. Make sure the address matches yours. Simple.
