Our trip is coming up ( Sept 23) and I have been reading that alot of people are having problems with their magic bands not working. This concerns me. This is my remission trip and I really dont want to spend hours at a guest service in any park or lobbey of my hotel trying to get something fixed if it doesnt work. I may mention we also have free dining. So do you think I should call and request the old fashion hard ticket or stick with the band? :confused3

If it's a concern, and you don't want to deal with it, I would get a Key to the World card.

I've not heard a great deal of issues with it as of late.

No need to call anyone.
You can get a KTTW card at check-in (or from your resort Concierge desk) by just asking.

And, more importantly...

Congratulations on your remission!

Just got back literally. July 3rd to July 12th. Bands worked great for everything. From room key to purchases to fast pass. Just get those darned Mickey ears lined up. lol. Have a great trip and congrats on the remission.

We used the Magic Bands for the first time over Memorial Day weekend and they worked great. Then we went for the Fourth of July weekend and I couldn't get into the park but my husband did. It's a long story but we had to go to Guest Relations and get it fixed. It took about a half hour but the Cast Member was great and we were good to go for the rest of the trip.

I only wish they had queue ropes set up at Guest Relations until the Magic Bands are working better. So, it took a half hour but we were fine for the rest of the time. I wouldn't think it would take hours to get things done if the bands don't work correctly.

But, as Robo said, you can just get a hard card at the resort.

KTTW card may not work either. Last August when we were there they had just started the magic bands and my husband's KTTW card had a problem every time we went into the park. If they can give you both, that would probably be the best bet.
