Magic Band Q

I'm currently booked at BWI for September, and I'm planning on getting an annual pass since I will be going back in less than a year (both solo trips). It sounds like I will get a magic band since I have my room reservation, and that I would also get one when I buy my annual pass. Or does Disney know that I have both and will only send me one? Is it possible to have two magic bands linked to the same account? I know I will only get one set of FPs, etc. even if I have two bands, but it might be nice to have two different bands, so I could decorate one (or both!) :>

You will get one for your stay and another one for your AP. You should be able to use them both, as long as both are active on your account.

Sweet! Thanks! When I book my second stay I'll get a third? I'll end up with dozens of them eventually!

Log on to your "My Disney Experience" account and click on "Magic Bands and Cards" to make sure your AP, and DC membership if you have one, are linked to each card. Each one should work for both, thou probably only your current one will work as your room key. You will also be able to customize the color and name for each future one here before they are printed - 30 days out for stays and whenever you want to log on and order one for your AP. You can do this as soon as your pay for the AP, you don't have to wait until you activate it the first day you want to use it so you can go ahead and make your FP+ selections 60 days out.

After they are printed for your park stay go to "my reservations and tickets" and click pre-check in, You will be able to assign a credit card number and pin to them for charging privilege your MBs. You can also do this at the front desk at check-in or anytime.

When you do charge to your MB, don't assume they are giving you your annual passholder/DVC discount, if applicable. In our experience, if you don't remind them they don't apply the discount. If you forget you can go back and get it applied later with the receipt but that is a hassle.

So far, they are issuing new ones for each stay. I have four at the moment.
