Magic band plus questions

Hey I purchased the magic band plus for next September 1st and charge it everything will the battery die and can't used it as my ticket or just can't do the features on it???
Second question how to link it up to My Disney account???

I'm not sure how long the battery is going to last but I would definitely charge it closer to your trip as that is 9.5 months away.

On your phone you have to have the My Disney Experience (MDE) app.
After you login click the 3 lines in the bottom right (iPhone instructions)
Scroll almost al the way down and you will see "MagicBands and More"
If you or your party already have bands they will be listed and you will need to scroll down.
You should then see "Link Your MagicBand or Card"
It will then give the options to tap, use the phone camera or manually type the ID of the MagicBand.

Even if the battery is dead, you’ll still be able to tap into the park, LLs, VQ, etc. because the MB doesn’t need battery for that. The Plus features are the ones that won’t work.

You will probably need to charge it to connect/pair it with your phone/MDE. It will probably try to do a software update before connecting. Also, you can power it down by holding the button in the back until it beeps/vibrates twice. It will probably still need a recharge, but this should help some.

EDIT: I would try to pair it as soon as you get it, in case you have issues.

I did long days at the park 7am till 1pm one day (I had extended hours) and all 4 batteries worked fine. I charged them every night. No isssues. I would charge it the day before your trip.
