Magic Band Order - Entire Party has to order at same time?

I know we don’t have to use Magic Bands for our upcoming trip, but some of our party of 7 want limited release bands and others either havent made up their minds or may decide to use their phone or and older band. I am managing the plans for the entire party, so all 7 show up when I try and select our bands.

I used to just order the “free” ones to complete our order, but MBs are no longer “free”and the plain bands will still cost $. Band availability comes and goes, so getting all of my kids to decide together is problematic! Is there a way to choose “no band” and still be able to check out with the selected bands?

Yes. Now the entire order has to be placed at one time. So if there are particular bands that people want, and they are available, I would order as soon as possible because the inventory changes frequently
If anyone does not want a band, you can decline for that person and complete your order, but as far as I know you can’t go back later & change your mind

"Decline Magic Band" under those guests, but you won't be able to go back and add one at the discounted price later.

I highly recommend that everyone bring an old band, at a minimum. MagicMobile is awful.

For your kids, maybe go the route of basic colors, then etsy decal? That way all of them can have something attractive. Much much more attractive than Disney's options in my opinion.

@kandlsutton, I would wait until Friday at least. A bunch of 50th merchandise is supposed to drop on ShopDisney on the 1st, and there might be some good anniversary bands available.

I should have clarified - adult kids and their SOs - but still my kids….if they were young kids, I would’ve made up their minds for them.

Once the initial order is placed, your kids are more than welcome to purchase their own MB from shopDisney later...at regular retail price.

The other hack is to do a split stay. Then you get two magic band orders and can do one now and the rest later. But otherwise yeah—you have to order all at once.

When I ordered, I thought I saw something that said if your trip is more than 30 days out, you can edit your order. Don't quote me on that!

Bands get processed & sent right away now, no matter when your trip is. Can’t have you paying for a band that’s out of stock or retired by the time your trip comes.
