Hi all. I got my band today (my check in date is Jan 25) and I'm allergic to it. So should I just carry it in my pocket or try and get the RFID card? I'm just afraid if I try to change to the card my reservations will get all messed up. Also does the card have the full functionality of the band? Has anyone used the card instead of the band?

I would just ask for an RFID card instead of carrying the band around. I have an MB and keep it strapped to my handbag strap when we're in the World, but prefer to use my actual annual pass RFID card instead. They work interchangeably.

Upon arrival at your resort, tell them about your allergy to the band and request a RFID Card. You may need to get a supervisor involved if the front desk CM says they can't issue an RFID Card.
Also does the card have the full functionality of the band?
Mostly. The MagicBand has a long range transmitter that can be picked up to automatically link attraction photos to your PhotoPass account. This long range transmitter will reportedly be used for interactive queue elements and possibly for character interactions.

All other functions like touch to enter (theme park & resort room), touch to pay (with CC on file w/resort), FP+ entry, etc. work with either a MagicBand or RFID Card.

Has anyone used the card instead of the band?
I've used both my MagicBand and RFID Annual Pass interchangeably with no issue.
