magic band + off site + one day onsite???

Hi,

So I'm traveling in november for my DF's 70th Birthday. The whole family is going and we're staying offsite because we got an amazing deal (we're 10 people including 2 kids). A few days into the trip, my wife and I will be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary, and for that night, we booked a room at the boardwalk. We're able to get magic bands because of the onsite stay, but can we link them to our 6-day hopper that we have that will be starting a few days earlier? or will the magic bands only be active when we check into our room at the boardwalk?

Magic Bands are always active for admission. The only thing that won't work when you are off property is the ability to pay and the ability to get into rooms. You wills till be able to use your park admission and FP+ from your Magic Band before and after your Boardwalk stay.

The MBs are automatically linked to your MDE account and you'll be able to use them for all your park entries and all FPs as soon as you arrive at WDW.

Ditto. No worries at all about the bands. Once they are linked to you in MDE app, you are all set. And that sounds like a great anniversary. Enjoy!
