Magic Band dilemma, hope someone can help!
Trip planned for next February, I bought tickets from undercover tourist and added them to
the magic bands we already had, easy enough. Then I realize one band is nowhere to be found, likely packed away in
daughters college stuff but we're done searching & bought a new band. Deactivated the lost band & added new one to
her profile.
Does her ticket automatically transfer to the new band? I am not seeing any way to "move" the ticket from the lost band to the new one?
Please forgive my ignorance, I'm still used to old school Disney, lol
I appreciate any guidance offered!!

Magicbands are just identifiers. They have nothing else attached to them at all.

So when you're at the park entrance and tap in, what gets sent is "Magicband number 1D34-9F02-385E, at entrance to Magic Kingdom, here's her fingerprint checksum" Then the server will see who that MB belongs to, see it's your daughter, and then check to see if your daughter has a valid ticket, and a park pass to MK for today (or, if after 2pm, and she has a park pass for somewhere else, that she has a hopper, and already scanned into to the park where she has her park pass). If it comes back valid, then the ring turns blue.

There's nothing you have to do to "move" her tickets to the other band, and the system will check to see that her MB does belong to her, and then check for a ticket. Using a different MB just means a different number gets passed, but it should still point to her account.

Thank you so much, you have set my mind at ease! I was way overthinking this..

When we go we take a lot of our old MBs and colour code to outfits. As long as a MB has not been deactivated, it can be used.

This line is contributing to your confusion. You didn't do this ("added them to the MagicBands we already have") because it's not something you can do. There is no way in the system to assign a ticket to a band.
Bands (and tickets, and resort reservations, etc.) are assigned to a profile in MDE. As the PP wrote, all the bands do is access the profile to see what is there.
