Magic Band Biometric ?

Received magic bands, completed on-line check in. I assume that I am good to go directly to the park on arrival day. When do they collect the fingerprint scan to correlate with my MB?

I used my left finger for the scan before I realized that I would be better off using my right. We now have new MBs for an upcoming trip. Will the new MBs use the old biometrics?
Can I go to Guest Services and have the biometrics reset - probably with photo ID and possibly my first-born and some super-secret password... I'll have the photo ID at least - the first-born depends on his behavior that day

The biometrics are tied to your park admission, not your MagicBand. There are Guest Relations type CMs at the entrances that can reset the biometrics if necessary.

FWIW, that biometric reader doesn't work off of finger prints but rather off of the dimension of your finger. So if you screw up and use the "wrong" hand and make it awkward, try using the other index finger for the scanner. Most times both of your index fingers are of similar dimensions.

Worked for me last week when I decided after a couple of days to switch my Magic Band to the same arm as my watch.
