Magic band and split stay questions.

I want to purchase a special magic band for my DGD during our trip in Dec--but how long do they last? Her parents are saying that they prob won't go back again until 2019--will the band still be usable then?

Also, we are doing a split stay between Coronado Springs and Animal Kingdom lodge--will the baggage handlers transfer groceries (even cold stuff) or only luggage?

Bands full battery life have an esitmated span of about 3-4 years. The long range capability is what dies. This is for retrieving ride photos and videos via rfid without having to touch anything. Your photos are automatically uploaded to your MDE

The touch point function will not die out. This is used for entry to park and FP's.

So the bands will still be useable, just the photos automatically uploaded to the account might stop. In that case almost all the rides have touch points after the ride that you can touch to get the photos

What the above poster said is correct and to answer your second question they will transfer everything including cold groceries for you. Just tell them what bags need to be kept cold.
