Magic Band and AP

I have an annual pass voucher that I will activate on my trip in July. I have customized our magic bands on MDE. We live in Canada so our MBs won't be mailed to us and will be at resort desk on check in. When we check in, I know we can use our MB for room and charging right away....but do I need to then go to guest services at a theme park to activate annual passes and get them attached to our bands? The APs are linked to our MDE. I can see them on there.
Or will they be attached to bands automatically and activated as soon as we go into a park?

Also, can I purchase a TIW card at resort or is that at park guest services?

Nothing is "on" a Magic Band - it's just a key to access what's on your MDE account. Since your APs are showing in your MDE account, that's all you need.

You will need to go to guest relations(parks or DS) to obtain your AP discount card to use for discounts. TIW has to be purchaed at a guest relations window(parks or DS).
