Sometime, a long time ago, before another trip was hatched, I left off on my TR with a little shopping before dinner at DHS!
We were soon checking to 50s Primetime Café! Yipppeee! Ive said this before but Ill say it again. When I planned this trip I wanted Jen, John and their kiddos to have the most fun possible in the time we had!
I figured 50s Primetime was a good place to eat in my all fun, all the time, plan! My figuring and planning could not have prepared me, or anyone else for that matter, for what would occur at 50s PTC!
We checked in for our 4:30ish ADR and waited a lllllooooonnnnnngggggg time! There were a lot of people waiting! Im not sure what it is about restaurants in DHS! Last Oct we waited an insane amount of time for a less then stellar lunch at SciFi! Anyway, we waited at least 45 minutes! It was rather annoying and a little disheartening! Really, I had planned this meal for ultimate amount of fun. Now were sitting here in Grandmas living room (which indeed has a few knickknacks that could have been found in my own Grandmas living room, no joke!) starring at each other! Hoo hummm!
Oh well, we were finally seated and the fun of the meal and yummy food melted away any stress from the wait!
Our server was fabulous and so in character! She was fabulous!
She had a thing about BIL! He kept getting in trouble! Not putting his napkin on his lap and a few other things! He decided he should tattle on Jen for something and them got in trouble for tattling! It was hilarious, Jen was laughing so hard I thought she may burst!
She warned him numerous times about putting his elbows on the table! Finally she had had enough and he got in trouble!
Ketchup on the table will teach him! It was so funny!
With all the hilarity going on the food was almost secondary! In all honesty, Im not sure what everyone had! I know Justin and I had the fried chicken and DH had the meatloaf, other then that, no clue!
Ill admit, I got in a little trouble myself! I didnt eat all my greens! Actually, I dont think I ate any of them! So I got the greens with whipped cream and sprinkles for dessert before my actual dessert came out! The girls were horrified by it so I, being the mean aunt I am, offered them $5 a piece to take one heaping spoonful and eat it! I believe I offered them $20 a piece if they ate the whole thing!
Well, sufficed to say I left 50s PTC with my wallet $10 lighter! There was no way I was leaving $40 lighter! They couldnt do it! I really wish I had taken pictures but I was laughing soooo hard I couldnt!
It was probably the most fun Ive ever had at any meal! Our 1900 Park Fare experience is second
After our meal was over and our bill was settled it was time to head out! But Ryan needed a diaper change (Im so glad hes completely potty trained now!) and Jen and I both needed a bio break! We decided to let the rest of the family head in the direction of Fantasmic! We told them to grab seats and wed meet them!
After our visit to the rest room we headed toward Fantasmic! With about 19 million other people! I told Jen that I had never, ever seen this many people in one area in Disney before and that this was why we dont go at busy times! YIKES!
We got to the Fantasmic studio to discover that the theater was full for the first show! UGH!
Worse yet we could find the rest of the family anywhere! Double ugh! I tired to call both John and Jessica but had no luck! Triple ugh! Where could they be?!
Jen and I decided to head back to 50s ptc to see if they were there! Maybe they had walked back that way to get out of the crowd!
Almost back to 50 ptc I got a call from DH! Apparently they had gotten separated in the madness around and had to find each other before finding us! I was happy to findout that DH hadnt lost either kiddo!
They were heading back out way and wed decide what to do next!
Once we were finally together again we discussed out options!
I bet you can guess what happened!
We split up!
Jen and I, Ryan and Jess went back to Kidani! This was my 7th trip to WDW since 05 and Ive yet to see Fantasmic! ACK! But I wasnt feeling staying in a cold dark park until all hours to see it this time! One day I will see it! Hopefully, December!
Those of us who went back to the room has yet another wonderful night in the room relaxing! The rest of the family loved Fantasmic! DS7 was super excited to see it! It was his first time! He LOVED it!
Our heads hit the pillow that night dreaming of our last full day, dis meets and dinner with mickey dancing in our heads
