OMG - Could you go in May? Long weekend???. Christine and I have been doing some seriously pm'ing about a May trip and I am trying to suck Tracy in now!

Stopped by actually to see if there is any news on your sister's condition. I assume her Ct scan of the head and MRI were OK. Are they thinking autoimmune disease like lupus? Is her kidney function normal? Sorry, its the NP in me coming out. I really do hope she is feeling better!

It seems like the universe is sending us a message about May. And it is saying "go to WDW and meet with your 'imaginary' internet friends"

I'm thinking Kidani with the 2 full bathrooms in a 2 bedroom but staying in the Epcot area for Flower and Garden could also be nice...

However I'm curious people when are we talking in May??? I have an AP and it burns a hole in my pocket and I have some serious airline miles to use!

My sister is doing ok! She's still in the hospital. Yesterday she told everyone she was going home today! Today she decided she had to stay! Good thing! The only thing the CT turned up was the lump in her breast, she's going to have the mamo tomorrow! I'm not sure if she's had a MRI. I'll ask my Mom!

They definitely think it's autoimmune, she was tested for Lupus a few years ago. Is there a blood test? I'm going on memory! It was inconclusive.

The nephrologist ordered something like 20 vials of blood that was taken this morning! Hopefully that yields something!

Her kidneys are functioning fine but, her blood pressure is low so it's making the situation worse. Her heart is fine too.

We're just waiting at this point! Hopefully there will be an answer soon! I'll definitely keep you posted!

I will only have ~10 points available but I can always borrow/rent! Where there is a will there is a way!!!

I have screwed up my points so royally with all this changing and moving I went from having no 2010 points to having 74 that I have to bank before the end of the month! Unless, of course I use them to book a new reservation for, I don't know, May!

I am glad to hear your sister is doing better today. I hope her blood tests yield something. They are probably all special send out tests so I wouldn't expect the results for several days. At least she is feeling better. The lump in the breast is a bummer because its probably not at all related to her illness, but rather one more thing she needs to deal with.

On a happier note - I knew this was the place to check for all updates pertaining to our alleged May trip. I see you are way ahead of me in asking your DH. Actually, my DH knows that I have planning May for awhile. He just doesn't know the whole cast of characters has changed. I just hope Jen can take a long weekend from school.

My mom said that all the blood was being sent out! So we'll see if yields anything!

The lump really is just one more thing! I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not but when they say it on the ct scan the dr said it didn't look like a cyst! So, we'll see what happens there too! I'll update on her in a little bit with my other update!

Hello Dis friends!

Today is a good day! Do you know why?!

Because we have ...




Woo hoo! 40 days seems infinitely closer then 50! I think because it's less then 1/2 of 100 and because 30 days is only 10 days away! Yes, I'm weird! I admit it!

I haven't changed anything for the trip and I don't think I will between now and departure day! Unless something else strikes my fancy!

That's not to say there hasn't been planning, it just wasn't for the Oct trip! Friday is ADR for DD's b-day trip so I'll be up bright and early Friday morning even though the kiddos don't have school! I'm ok with that! I may revise the choices a little between now and then!

There maybe other plans being made, but that's for a different post or thread

I'd also like to thank everyone for the prayer and well wishes for my sister! She's home now. Although she's completely out of it! Part of her problem is that she's been getting really awful heads that never really go away! They kind of just dull and then come back! They gave her what was supposed to be a nerve block to stop the pain. My mom, my sisters DH and I all assumed they'd give her some sort of injection in her neck or something. But apparently they used 4 long cotton swabs, with topical cocaine on them and put them up her nose! She's really out of it because of it! When I spoke to her last night parts of the conversation included her mumbling incomprehensibly! It was kinda scary! But my Mom says she's ok!

They haven't found out what the problem is yet, but they're pretty confident that they're on the right track!

She hadn't had, as of last night, the mammography or ultrasound because they could get someone to come in over the holiday weekend! My Mom was pretty certain it would be done today!

Hopefully there will soon be an answer and she'll be on the rode to recovery!
