Great picture of your meet!!

I have never been over to that area of DHS but it always looks so cute and a fun place for kids to play

I love Starring Rolls but agree the layout is a bit of a pain

My DVC kiosk was in DTD....I knew I was going to do it on the trip (had done a lot of research here ) so when I was there I just knew right then it was the right time A quick golf cart ride over to SSR, some more koolaid and I left owning at AKV

I keep forgetting to ask you....when were you there last October? I was there I think from the 2-9th.....It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot!!!

The kids really love the playground! It's a lot of fun for them to run around in!

Ahh, the DVC beginnings! I never thought DH would go for it! I had done tons and tons of research and could explain to him 1 million different ways why it was a good decision for us but I really didn't he'd do it!

The morning we went on the tour DH asked me 50,000 questions at breakfast and then was the one who wanted to go on the tour! I'm still slightly shocked that he went for it!

We were there over Halloween! Oct 29th - Nov 3rd! It was in the mid 90's the first few days! Halloween night was so hot in the costumes, we had to change out of them! It's funny that we went from unusually hot weather in Oct to unusually cold in January! I'm hoping that trend doesn't continue

Your tweaks are fantastic! I'm with ya on the saving the money for the spa/DTD instead of Mickey. My DH would be the same way. It would be nice, but there are so many other things he'd rather have instead of a personal meet & greet with Mickey. Now when the kids are with - that would be AWESOME. Someday I hope to do that too!

That's what we had - the combined MK/lake view room and it was fabulous. So much to see in every direction! The balconies are really good size. Nicest balcony ever!

I'm hoping that's what we get! It would be lovely!

If you want one of the lovely rooms that is lake & MK view you should request a even # room ( the rooms on the front of the building are all even #) on the north side of the building! (The half farthest from CR is north)

Someone took on the task of mapping the entirety of BLT, room types, views, some pictures etc! It's really cool! You can find that thread here

Tweak is my middle name! Well, maybe not I can't see spending the $$ for a visit with mickey when DH isn't going to be all that excited for it! One day, with the kiddos and something extra fun!

I can't wait for the spa! It's going to be lovely!

Ryan was so funny! He thought that little hill was the best thing in the whole playground! Up and down, over and over! No slides, no climbing!

What, no ME?! Personally I don't mind it if our stop is last, I kind of enjoy seeing the other resorts even if it is for two seconds. But I think you are right about the Contemporary being last...when we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last summer I am pretty sure it went to the Poly, GF, WL, and then Contemporary. I know we never saw the CR.

Anyways...great update! Yay for a DIS meet!

FUN DHS morning and I love that meet pic of the 3 of you! Frustrating about breakfast, I know at the writers stop they couldn't figure out how to ring up my Americano....took FOREVER! I just skip Starring Rolls now, too crowded and Writers Stop seems to have the same pastries I think.

I kinda feel like for this trip I just want to get there and get the vacationing started! I'm pretty sure your right about the ME route! We took ME in Jan of 09 when we stayed at WL. I remember going to Poly and GF and I'm pretty sure CR was still after WL! I do enjoy seeing the other resorts! I loved getting a glimpse of CSR when we stayed at AKV!

Our dis meet was so much fun, albeit brief!

When I last left you we were heading out of DHS on our way to MK!

We took the bus to GF and then took the monorail to MK! Good way to travel I must say!

When we got to MK we decided to browse the shops!

We admired this guy





hard at work! It was very cool! He was making a glass rose!

So many sparkly things!







We were going to head toward some rides but got distracted by this gentleman...



He was very nice and chatted with everyone!

I decided to take the opportunity to take a picture of Jen's family in front of the castle!


(ahem, through the magic of photoshop I was able to take the work crane out of the picture so their picture wasn't corrupted!)

Just as we reached the hub Dream Along With Mickey was starting! So, we caught a show!



























After the show we were off to Liberty Square!

But, I had to stop and take a picture of this...




The empty moot! Umm, yuck!

Anyway, we decided to visit with our current president and his predecessors! Well, I wish I could tell you how I like the enhancements but I'm willing to bet some of you can figure out what happened.....



I feel asleep!


UUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!! Really?! What is wrong with me!? In all honesty, Ryan was sitting on my lap and he feel asleep almost as soon as the show started. He was all nice and cuddled up on me and I was comfortable, content and happy! Soon I was fast asleep!

After my snooze we decided to take a have visit with 999 happy haunts! As usual, we loved it but decided none of us would be willing to become the 1000 today!

After HM I realized it was getting close to the time for the afternoon parade!

I agree on the character... as cool as that is, if DH won't be totally into it then the $ is better spent elsewhere. And who needs a mouse cramping your style?

Ahh... the spa. I'm all for a repeat visit in May. I'm planning on trying the Mandara spa next month. I've heard good things.

Oh! Meant to add... I'm a bit jealous that you have a spot that symbolizes the beginning of your DVC journey. That is awesome. I booked my tour from the stand in the lobby at Pop Century one rainy afternoon but didn't buy until many months later and through resale. I want a symbolic spot too!!
