I'm sooooo excited about this trip! It's going to be so much fun!

I thought it was so funny when she said it reminded her of New Moon!!

I'm really ashamed to admit it but I haven't actually seen the full run of the American Adventure! I've seen parts and can piece it together! I really want to see the whole thing start to finish! I don't know what it is about dark shows at WDW!

Hey Dis Friends!

I'm back after our very busy, long weekend!

Friday night was our 100th Anniversary Cocktail Party for the yacht club! It was fabulous and all the planning really planned off! It was truly a great night!

Saturday was Family Fun Day for the 100th Anniversary! One of the other Mom's and I were did all the planning and the kids, and parents too, had a great time! Again, it was worth the effort! So much laughing and giggling and fun! Many, many memories were made!

Yesterday ended the weekend with our clubs "Old Timers" race! LOL! It's an over 30 race! DH won the race and was super excited!!!

I am completely exhausted but it's all good!!!! I can't complain when the only thing that would top the fun this weekend is a trip to WDW

Anyway, life should slowly return to normal after this. Friday is the last day of sailing lessons, then Saturday is our last yacht club meeting of the summer and we are having a family and friends party! The party is always the highlight of our summer but I think this past weekend will be hard to top! We will have a lot of college friends down for the party so it will be great to see them!

I'm trying really hard to catchup on everyones TR/PTRs! I've really missed them!

Of course, I'm continuing my countdown! Today is...

Yay! My work doesn't block your pictures and I LOVE that picture! Woo-hoo for another update and thank heavens you're yachting adventures are winding down. It sounds like so much fun but tiring with all you've had to take care of recently. A good busy right? I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves!

I'm glad everything is winding down too! Although there is a good chance by the end of this week I could be sitting on the board of governors at the yacht club! In that case the adventure has only just begun! I'm definitely exhausted but it's ok! It's all good! So many memories were made and I made some wonderful new friends!

I can't see 99% of pictures on the DIS. Even most of the poor little smilies are blocked.

Speaking of this - I got your FB message! I stink at checking them, but I did see yours. I mentioned it to Joe, who didn't have much of a reply at the time; however, it is looking like we might need to stay in the City because he might have to work a bit - they have been having problems with a server. Thankfully he can do most of it from home, so he won't have to be IN the office (at least he shouldn't...)

I would LOVE to come out there sometime though - the summer is escaping us, but perhaps in the fall or something...! I hope the party is a blast, I'm sure it will be!!!

LOVE that Epcot picture!!! I wish they would bring some of that "vintage" Disney back.

I love photobucket! It's MUCH easier to use and so much less frustrating! They have a free subscription and a paid premium subscription, I have the premium because I put so many pictures on there. I very rarely have any trouble at all and the pictures always go in in order!

I'm really glad it's calming down! Once we get through this weekend we'll have a few weeks to relax before the kiddos go back to school! You're right, before I know it we'll be on our way!

That's a really good idea Brook! I have most of my pictures on Webshots and I like knowing they're there in case something happens to my computer! I have everything backed up more then once on usb drives and an external hard drive! I would be crushed if I lost all my pics!

Soooooooo, I was going to do a new TR update tonight!


BUT, I can't!!


Because something happened today!


More accurately, I did something today!


Something I said I wouldn't do!


I changed out Oct reservation!

I called DVC member services in hopes of waitlisting for Kidani! I spoke to a fabulous CM named Ebony, she was sooooo helpful and all full of good advice!

She told me they had the first 3 days, Oct 18th, 19th and 20th in a standard view, 1 bedroom!

I went back and forth about taking it and she gave me her advice. She told me that if I didn't mind potentially having to change resorts on the 21st and moving to SSR then I should take it. That way, she could waitlist the last 2 nights at Kidani and if anything becomes available the reservations will be linked and we won't have to change rooms.

So I went for it!

We are booked for a 1 bedroom standard view room at Kidani the nights of Oct 18th, 19th and 20th!! We will move, if the waitlist doesn't come through, on the 21st to SSR!

Ebony waitlisted us for 2 separate things. The first being the last 2 night at kidani. The second, disney magic willing, is all 5 nights in a savannah view at Kidani! We'll get whatever comes through first and we'll be covered for all 5 nights! Wooo Hooo!!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!

No matter what, I'm super excited! SUPER EXCITED!!!!

Really, SUPER EXCITED doesn't even cover how excited I really am! I LOVE Kidani so much and it will truly be like going home!!!!

I'm not telling DH! Shhhhhhhhhh!!! It's going to be a surprise!

While I was busy change our resort reservation I also added a dining reservation! Kona breakfast on the 23rd, our last morning! Yippeeee! I had a Kona breakfast at one point and cancelled it. But I really love Poly and want to go for a visit! Plus the Kona Coffee is calling my name!

I'm going back and forth in my mind about cancelling the rental car. If we had all 5 nights at Kidani I most likely would. I wasn't that fond of the buses at SSR. But for 2 nights I might be able to handle it. Another but, but I like the idea of being able to leave for the airport straight from the park on the last day. I also like the idea of being able to go to store! Any advice or experience on the rental car thing?

Also, I have another question! If our waitlist doesn't come through we'll have to move on the 21st. The 21st is supposed to be our rest day and I'd love to relax by the pool at Kidani. Can we still use the pool the day we checkout after we've already checked out?
