Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Dance competition season is CRAZY! Would love to have an adult meet. Are you planning on signing up for any of the tastings? We were going to see what's available. Otherwise after main dining before the show maybe? I think there is a bar on the main floor that allows kids.

SOUNDS GOOD. mAYBE WE CAN FIGURE SOMETHING OUT AT THE KIDS MEET! I CANT WAIT, I CANT WAIT, I CANT WAIT!!!!!! not too excited. ya think....

WOW... only one week left!

Hi and welcome to all the new families!

Glad to hear about John Carter and the Help. I really want to see those but I haven't had the time to get around to it. Lets hope I can see them while we cruise.

I'm all for a adult meeting. I am planning on doing some tastings, if someone wants to meet up and attend together let me know. We have second dinning so I'm not sure how that fits with everyone else.

Anyone staying at the Hyatt the night before? We are flying in very late on Thur but maybe we can meet up at the airport in the am or in the port before we board. Not sure how to tell who is who or how to find you all. I just have a mental picture of going up to random people, something like that kids story "Are you my mother?".

Hi Jillian. We too are staying at the Hyatt the night before. We get in at 11:35pm! Oye! We will be meeting my girlfriend and her family in the AM, as she has an 8:50 am arrival flight from NJ. So we will be waiting at baggage claim for them and then boarding the busses to the port. Still dont even know what I am packing, so I cant help you with what I might be wearing just as yet. A cup of coffee maybe! lolwe will get it worked out.

I called about the movies also . Yes to John Carter but was told Chimpanzee was only April 20th. I was also told Tangled 3, the Muppets, Cars 2, Tangled in 3D, Toy Story 3 in 3D, the Help, and Winnie the Pooh. So excited! One week from today we leave! WooHoo!

All those sound about right to me to but she did say that Chimpanzee would be playing on this cruise. I sure hope so as it looks like an awesome movie

Is 4/20 the night chimpanzee comes out? Sounds like it will be a premiere at sea maybe. That's kind of fun. They usually show it in the Walt Disney theater & give out special pins & sometimes others goodies. Glad to hear about John Carter & The Help too! DD will be thrilled about all the Tangleds

I'm sure we will be doing a beer tasting, right Flash?? I always wanted to try the margarita tasting but never got the chance...plus they usually do it right before or after the beer one.

One more movie I forgot-War Horse. We saw it already. Very intense good movie but my kids were upset by it. Very graphic.

We were thinking about asking about upgrades to veranda rooms at the port but I'm afraid it will screw up the fish extender list because I won't be able to get in touch with everyone on list to tell new rooms if available. Is there a way to do it? Otherwise we will just stick with our Cat 10's.

DS loved War horse...book & movie! He was so excited after reading the book that he made DH & I read it and couldn't wait for the movie. We really liked the book too. He & DH saw the movie, I got to take DD to Chipmunks (DH still owes me for that one ) I may finally get to see it! Yay!! I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of time in the theater LOL

There has to be a way we can let everyone know of the change. We only have a few rooms in the FE so it's not a massive challenge to let everyone know of a change. Hmmmm brainstorm everyone...... maybe you can drop a note under my door or call my room after you get on the ship and we can send out a quick amended list of stateroom numbers that night or we can hand them out at the kids meet? I'll make sure to bring enough extra copies so we can just cross off the old number & put in the new. Plus if anyone forgets their list, they will have an extra copy too. Is anyone planning on sending out the FE the first afternoon?

Thanks for the suggestions on the upgrade issue. we will ask at checkin and see if it is available. Right now we have the secret porthole connecting rooms. We took a NCL one night sail out of Manhattan in January and they upgraded my husband and I to a balcony and we LOVED it! I have a feeling connecting rooms aren't available but I thought I would give it a shot since my DH said to go for it if they are. The note idea at the kids meet should work.
War Horse was great! Just not for a 7 year old and my 13 year old daughter also thought upsetting. We haven't been to the movies since that one and that was Christmas night! We are also looking forward to seeing some movies.
Well, started packing today. Tried on the bathingsuits, etc. Not a pleasant sight!LOL! Have a great weekend!

I'm not sure what we are doing... My son really wants to see the ship tour thing but he "really really" wants to go to the kids meet. It doesn't matter to my oldest either way and I want to go to the meet so I'm sure we will be at the meet, if I can find it... lol.

We are not passing out the FE gifts until day 2 at sea, i'm not sure why that day but my youngest put it all together and wants to pass everything out himself and he said it must be that day. He worked very hard on what to get people and made part of it himself so I'm just letting him do the whole thing like he wants. He made our FE out of Duct Tape too! (Here's a question... he is not putting a name of who it's from because he things it should be "magical" and just show up. How many others are not putting names on it? Should I tell him to put his name or room # or something on his gifts, or just let him do what he wants? Having never done this before I'm clueless.)

If there are any room changes to the FE can someone please slip a note under my door if we don't make it to the meet. Like I said, as of today we plan to go but my plans never work out just right.

We weren't planning on doing the first day for the FE but we could. I am thinking maybe I should because then I could put notes if we switch rooms at the same time. We won't do the second night since someone already is. We did put tags with our name on it on the family gifts. The kids gifts we didn't. I just packed them and it takes up one whole suit case! I don't know how people do it when they have 30 people in on the FE! LOL! Hope you guys get to stop by the kids meet. Can't wait to go!

So starting to feel a bit stressed. When I planned our spring break cruise I didn't really think about it is the end of the semester then day we leave and a bunch of school projects, tests, exams, etc are happening AND spring sports got into full swing a week or so ago.
I had to buy another suitcase....lol.
My, dd 10, gets motion sickness so I have spent a small fortune in seabands, etc to try to help her not get sick. However, most of the over the counter "less drowsy" versions are for kids 12 and over. I am thinking of calling pediatrician on Monday to see if there is any prescription meds for kids that won't knock her out.
Anyone have suggestions?
My dd8 is dressing up for pirate night. I wanted us all to, but seem to be running out of time.

I'm starting to feel the stress too. Three years ago we went to WDW and I don't remember the stress, i'm sure there was some, with all the planning and such but I don't remember it. Hopefully that means that when I look back on this trip I won't remember the stress of planning. Fingers crossed. I've never been on a cruise so it might just been newbie fear. I just keep telling myself that it will all work out.

I would call her doc and see if they can't give you something. If she is ok in the height and weight then her doc may say its ok for her to take an adult med. It doesn't hurt to ask.

That sounds like a great idea.

We are kinda dressing up for pirate night. We all have pirate t-shirts and jeans. My kids are teens and "beyond" dressing up for things. I would but ran out of time to get something. How about you guys?

I'm feeling overwhelmed too...I'm hoping it's because it's my very first cruise. It is also the need for dressier clothes, as I'm used to just backing shirts and t-shirts and bathing suits. Oh and jeans.

I'm hoping I can pull together something for my husband and I to wear on pirate night. AJ will be dressed up for sure.

So...."OCD" Hayley here. We did do pirate costumes. We originally had this cruise booked in January with a large group. When the group backed out, we moved it to April to keep the kids from missing school. That gave me A LOT more prep and research time. I hated that we joined this board after the FE was already going, but next time we'll know My latest projects have been making my stateroom door decorations and tying up loose ends.
Sounds Like we're good to go, but I actually had a dream last night that I forgot my over door shoe organizer ( it contains all our sunblock, etc...). and I forgot all my paperwork! I woke up so relieved that it was just a dream. In my dream we even arrived at the terminal late!!! Embarrassing...ridiculous... I have decided that I am getting way too anal- time to "coast". There is no treasure and no blessing greater then the time we will have with our families in the week ahead. I couldn't be more grateful that we get to take this cruise together and enjoy the excitement of seeing new things and new places. I am so looking forward to meeting everybody from the group as well!
I hope everybody has a safe trip to the terminal and that all the pieces fall into place for each and every one of you!!
AND I hope that my next "cruise dream" involves me and a 'drink of the day'!!! Lol!
