DS went to breakfast with his friends and headed to the teen beach with the group from the Stack.

The rest of us got off together and went to the family beach. I parked our stuff under an umbrella while DH got DD snorkeling gear. She took off on her own to check for hidden treasures.

DH and I got comfy. We checked out the water (a little cool for my taste, but it felt good to my ankle). I unwrapped the ankle to wade and found that walking in sand is more difficult with a sprained ankle than you would expect.

DD, DH and I had lunch at Cookies. The BBQ was okay. Not great like most of the food we had. But then we are from Oklahoma and we have fantastic BBQ at home. The burgers and giant cookies were good. So was the fruit from the fruit cart. The pineapple was to die for.

After lunch, we had DD’s hair braided. This time she just got a few inches in cornrows, in a kind of headband. Very cute! She's had tons of compliments since we got home. In fact, she's still got the braids in. They held up quite well. And those ladies can braid like their lives depend on it. Their fingers fly!

Then DD went to the teen beach and we went to check out the adult beach where we sampled Konk Koolers and waded out in the shallow water. The rocks are sharp so wear your pool shoes on this beach and in the water. DH spotted a starfish and we saw a hermit crab.

We went back to the family beach and had more Konk Koolers. By now my ankle was looking like an elephant foot, but the Konk Koolers help with the pain. Walking in the soft sand without my elastic bandage had taken it’s toll.

DS rode the banana boats with a girl he'd met and said it was fun. I didn't want to try it with my elephant foot.

We returned to the ship and got ready for our Small World dinner at Lumiere’s. I had quesadillas, fettuccine alfredo and chocolate torte with apricot jam.

Then we went to the Farewell Variety Show with Michale Harrison and David DiMuzio. Finally we went back to the room to finish packing and putting our suitcases in the hall outside our room. I found out our neighbor had been ill and had been quarantined for 2 days. Eek!

DD and I went to the “Til We Meet Again” character photo op and kiss goodnight. We got some great photos before they called the characters to the steps in front of Lumiere’s. They sang “Now it’s time to say goodbye to all our company . . . ”. It was so sweet. Then they blew us kisses and cast members threw pixie dust down from the top of the atrium. I’d love to have videotaped that. I had tears in my eyes knowing we were getting off the ship the next morning.

Both kids filled out questionnaires in the Stack and got “The Stack” visors. DS went to the Stack’s Party in Paradise, but my sunburned daughter returned to the room, exhausted from her day in paradise.

DH and I sat on the veranda for a long time. Wishing we could make it last a little longer and dreaming of the day we could schedule our next cruise.
