Has anyone sailed in either of these staterooms since they changed them from 9A to 10A in January of this year? Trying to get an idea of the obstruction. Pics would be great too.

TIA!

Not a great picture but this is the starboard side (6056)

Not the OP, but I thought I'd say thanks for the photo. It's actually a good photo. Do you know what the obstruction is? Is that something they use to stand in to clean the outside of the ship that slides along the side? Or is that something that is a permanent fixture?

Yes, it's the little "car" that the CMs stand in to clean the outside of the portholes and do maintenance along that side.

Thanks for the reply! So up until this year, if you booked that room, you would pay 9A prices and have an obstructed view??

Does that thing move around and that's its "home"?

We have both staterooms booked for our upcoming cruise in December, saving us almost 1K CAD compared to the 9A rooms we had booked on deck 7. Very excited!

Yes, it runs on that rail that's between those two rows of portholes, all the way to the back of the ship. Yes, it's home is that position.

Am I correct in assuming that this is only used when in port? Any idea if it makes any noise at the home position?
