Hi all! My daughter and I are hopping on the Disney Magic for a 5-night Western Caribbean itinerary over our spring break. I've sailed a couple times since the re-start, but both sailings have been on the Dream, so I have a couple questions specifically about theme nights on the Magic.
  1. Is the Magic doing Buccaneer Blast in the dining rooms one night? (This is the "updated" version of Pirate Night.) If so, is it taking place on a predictable night? We're not expecting a deck party, but that would be a fun surprise! We enjoyed the Buccaneer Blast/Mickey's Mousequerade Party combo night on the Dream last fall.

  2. Even if Disney is not designating a "formal night" in the Navigator, is there a particular evening on the 5-night itineraries when people are dressing formally?
Thanks!

We did a 5 night on the Magic in Feb. We did have the Buccaneer blast and it was on Cozumel night. Our fireworks were on our MDAS. We didn’t have a night where people dressed formally.

I just did MDAS Feb 28-Mar 5. The breakdown went:

Day 2: Castaway Cay day #1 - "informal formal" night. It wasn't officially touted as such, but the characters were in formal wear, and a lot of guests were dressed up as well.

Day 3: Marvel themed night for MDAS

Day 4: Castaway Cay day #2, and "Pirate Night." They didn't put our bandanas on our bed, but they were at our table setting for dinner. We saw the characters in their pirate outfits when we boarded after CC, so we knew for sure we had the right night, and I also believe we had looked ahead at the dinner menu and saw that it was themed to pirates as well.

Day 5: Nassau, back to regular dinner. Ours happened to be at Rapunzel's Royal Table.

Thanks, super helpful. I really wish Disney would just post this online in advance for each cruise.
