I'll post a more detailed trip report later but thought I'd get a few things out quickly for those about to leave on trips.

First things first, we're a couple in our 30's no kids - and this was the best vacation we've ever had. We were married at disney two years ago and this cruise was our deferred honeymoon.

First the suggestions.
1. Couples with no kids - do the late dinner. Catch the 6:30 show, dinner at 8:30 and then the "adult" show at 10:15 at Rockin' Bar D. It's a great flow.....
2. Bring a night-light for the bathroom. The only light in there is about 500 watts and you'll blind yourself and then crash your shin getting back into bed.
3. As another post states - grab at least one chair at the adult-only pool. People are reserving them early early early.
4. Go and STAY at Serenity beach at Castaway Key. We stayed for a while and then went to the regular beach as it was our first time. We wished we had just stayed put.
5. Don't go crazy on the excursions. You may be better off fending for yourself - taxi, etc.. We liked our excursions but they are expensive and you spend a lot of time "traveling" and not enjoying.
6. Skip the tux. Some people wear them but you'll be better off with a black suit and a few fresh shirts.
7. If you need to check emails for work - buy the week package at $89. It's hassle-free and you won't forget to logoff and get hit with a huge bill. (I saw this happen.)
8. Skip the navigator verandah if you can. Pay the extra for the Cat 6. If you can afford it it's a huge difference.

9. A BIG ONE! Bring locks for your luggage. The ONLY downside we had - and it left a sour note at the end of a "magical" vacation.... was that we had some sentimental costume jewelry stolen from our luggage. We packed the night before and had to get some traveling clothes out of our suitcases Sat afternoon before checking luggage at the airport and we found that a bag with a neckless my wife wore to our wedding was stolen from our luggage. All of our real jewelry was in our day bag, but someone got about $150 in costume jewelry that was worth way more to us. I'd have written a check for much more to have it back.

10. Settle your bill (if you want to use leftover travelers checks) Friday afternoon. Friday night is nuts at guest services. You can always have them charge last minute things to your cc.

Anyway, it was a great trip and we look forward to many more. I'll post more later.

Thanks for your report....sorry about your wife's jewelry. It's a shame people feel the need to take what is not their's.

we were on the same cruise, sorry we missed you! it was our lst cruise also. i agree with the nite-lite idea, those bathroom lights will indeed blind you. i disagree with not renting a tux; we had late rotation, and i was nicely suprised to see most people really dressed up, with quite a few tuxes. i know some people are not into the dress-up thing, but how often can you really do it? i think there's good arguements for both seating times, i would have preferred the early time, but i'll go into that further on my own post. i said "i'm on vacation, so forget the email and the cell phone!" i'm sorry about your jewerly: the same thing happened to us in a motel. everything gets locked now. settle your account early, and get your pictures early at shutters, or you'll be stuffed like a sardine with 2000 people in shutters on friday evening...:D

We were also on the 3/23 cruise. I enjoyed meeting "kcand sunshine" and "msdisney53" and her husband at the Promenade Lounge on Monday afternoon.

A night-light in the bathroom as an excellent idea. However, be aware that the bathroom outlet is marked as being for shavers only. It accepts 2-prong 110V (flat prongs) and 2-prong 220V plugs (round prongs) only.

hey fellow northern virginian, the only complaint we had for our seven day magical cruise was the two yahoos we were seated with at table 63. What the heck happened with the jewelry, we nned to get in touch real soon. We did get out on an earlier flight! Gregor for President!

We were on the 3/23 also. Nice meeting Werner and msdisney too!!We had a great time and we were never in our room so the inside room was perfect. My son ordered room service a few days to get a few PBJ's (Picky Eater) and he loved them. Room service was quick. I also got the soda mug but there are no bars open at 7AM so I bought 6 Diet Cokes from room service for my early caffeine!!!!!I though the pictures at Shutters were so expensive!I bought one 8x10 and a smaller one but I took pictures each time and hope they come out. I just didn't think ours were that great to pay 10 bucks a pop!!!!Most people were buying tons of them!!!!!The cruise staff was incredible!! They are so good with kids!!!!!!! Kathryn
