Those wonderful docs arrived yesterday!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

The TA received them so as I was passing by her office to an interpreting assignment I just grabbed them on the way. I had to put them under the seat so I wouldn't be tempted to read them and cause myself to be late for the assignment.:rotfl: I think I figured out how to fill them all in, but will ask you seasoned cruisers if a question arises.

I am so absolutely ready for this vacation. There are so many things I see in the Passporters Guide that I want to see and do...I just keep telling myself it's like WDW and I won't be able to do it all, so just relax and enjoy.

And Willie, ;) , being scared of heights, male massage therapists and a lush is nothing to be ashamed of...hey, even I as a woman am not sure if I want Hans the Hands Man giving me a massage and I know I will have a few of those fruity umbrella drinks myself even though I'm not suppose to now. And well, the scared of heights thing...I thought I was over it until I remembered those big fish that hang out in the water and might make a meal of me if I fall...so no thanks, brother!

I also called DCL to check on the movies that are playing while we are on the Magic and this is what I was told....:jumping3:

Around The World in 80 Days
Brother Bear
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
Ladder 49
Miracle
Mr. 3000
Pirates of the Caribbean
Princess Diaries 2
The Village
Raising Helen
The Incredible

and on November 24 the ship will premiere......

National Treasure :cool2: with the only other guy I know who spells his name right according to DS who happens to share the name...Nicolas.

Things are absolutely better around here...

We received the new hard drive on Wednesday and DH (Eric) is having the computer geeks who run the network at the college try to extract the info from the old hard drive before we return it. Additionally, the company upgraded us from a 120 gb to a 160 gb drive. :cheer2: So now if Eric can just find some spare time to reinstall everything life will be almost back to normal.

My dad is feeling better, he says...we'll see what the pulmonologist says on Tuesday.

My sis is hanging in there...letting the legal whizzes do what they get paid for. She did have an emotional down turn this week. Sunday night she let her dogs out to run and when her Rottweiller came back inside, she was all happy and then suddenly lost all bodily functions and dropped dead in front of my sis. :sad1: The dog was 7 years old and had no health problems. We suspect it was a brain anyeurism as it was instant. Sis is doing better than earlier in the week...she is one of those pet lovers who thinks of her critters as family...very few people understand. But overall, she is like I said, hanging in there.

Well, I need to do some other computer work before I head to work. So for now, why don't ya'll join me in another round of that wonderful dance known as the Got the Docs Boogie....
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

See ya'll in two weeks!

Those darn docs have gotten mymind a little more mushy than usual....

Just a curious question??? Are most of you all out there, are in the cabin numbers 6000's (6th floor)?
We are down on 2nd floor!! :sad1:

Silver7...I didn't see your message about this minutes stuff...2 weeks does sound better...15 DAYS sounds a lot closer.:yo-yo: :teeth:

Are any of you going to the CC for massage? I know that my DH and I are going to reserv. it as soon as we get on that BOAT!
;)

Do DD's want their hair braided? and does anybody remember who had the least expensive hair braiding?:scratchin

See you all on 20th!!!!

[Do DD's want their hair braided? and does anybody remember who had the least expensive hair braiding?:scratchin

Julia, I haven't heard who is the cheapest- (I was wondering the same thing). I think our girls will do the hairbraiding on Castaway- we know the conditions will be clean. On our last cruise- we were informed that St. Martin was cheaper- but not very clean. We opted for St. Thomas & had no problems. Had some braids re-done at Castaway reasonably.

How come the braids needed redone?
I did have my DD's hair braided on CCay on the last cruise we did but I remember there's one on the boat...is that not the way to go?

My DD's do have long hair but they only get have way done instead of the whole thing.(having two DD's is expensive)

We will be arriving Friday. Girls(DW,DD,DD) are flying in that morning, and going to shop at Downtown Disney. Or is it called Disney Marketplace now? I forget. Anyway, I will work 3/4 day Friday, then join them Friday evening at the Grovsvenor. We are surprising the DD's with a limo to Port Canaveral Saturday. My cell, in case you guys need it, is 409-781-2058.

And yes, we are starting to get pumped about the cruise!

Willie

My DD's have had thier hair braided in Nassau, Freeport and CC. CC was by far the quickest and most reasonable. The ladies ARE locals for a close island. They arrive by boat daily. I told them last sailing "they each get 20.00 to spend!" I gave a 5.00 tip to each and it was 50.00 less expensive than Nassau. They do braid on the ship but it is by appointment and they were really backed up.
WMiller, we are going to be at BeachClub by noon and we usually eat at Planet Hollywood or Rainforrest Cafe while there in Downtown Disney.

How come the braids needed redone?

My youngest has pretty fine hair & a few strands were coming loose- she was 2 1/2 at the time- that didn't help either. She now has hair about down to her fanny- we wont do her entire head either- just around the crown. I've heard on the ship is expensive too & appts necessary- we'll opt for CC for braiding.
:earsgirl: getting very excited to go- it's not soon enough.

Does anybody know for sure when formal night is? Thursday??

Do they have like a dance/band playing on the formal night? Couldn't remember from last time at Disney Cruise.

I'm just planning ahead and starting to get excited!!!:jumping1:

Julia(DW)

While on the phone with the ressie lady this past Thursday she told me it was scheduled for Monday. But let me add she also said that it is always subject to change........you know the drill.

Hope this helps.

What's all the ladies wearing for formal and semi-formal night? I've been searching the clearance racks for a nice, new dress, but can't find anything reasonably priced.

On hairbraiding, Ali DD11 has done it on-board. Just got ressies as soon as they were available. But, since we go to Castaway Cay first maybe she will do it there...

Two weeks from today we will all be arriving at the port, checking in, getting our picture taken, being announced, and fighting Lampy for giant shrimp!:cool1:

bfosbenner...you are probably right about not being formal on Thanksgiving night::yes::

You would think the clearance rack to find a dress should be reasonably priced but I'm having a hard time finding a bathing suit for my DD(13)!!!:(

Well, I'm off to take my DD's to their Cheer/Dance competition and will not be back until late Sunday night.

:wave2:

I got home from work last night and DD12 (Alli) has all of her "summer" clothes on her bed getting ready to pack........looks like she's "got it" bad!!!
ONE MORE SATURDAY AFTER TODAY OF WORK BEFORE WE SAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:jumping1:

I just got off of weather.com and it looks like cozumel is going to be 88 today........it may not be a big deal to you Texans but its going to be a high of 42 here Wednesday.......

We are JUST NOW getting cooler weather in Texas--the first real cold front came in last week. Before that the highs were in the 90's everyday:rolleyes:

We are doing the big-make-sure-you-have-all-the-clothes-you-need check tomorrow, and DS12 is going to get fitted for his tux.

Lampy, here is a preemptive "Leave us some shrimp":p

O.K...........here's what I'm thinking about the shrimp.........How 'bout I just pick up the whole tray and head outside? This way i just have to fight off the sea gulls!!!!
