Has anyone been to either of these in the Orlando area? The Maggianos website doesnt list any prices at all and the Macaroni Grill does but I cant tell if you get anything with your entree (like salad bread or ?) Thanks for any help!

I've been to both places, though not the Maggianos in Florida.

Bread is included at both places, but not salad.

Maggianos has a more old fashioned Italian style, traditional dishes.

I like both places equally, so i'd just go with whichever entrees sound more appealing to you.

Normally Macaroni Grill charges for salads BUT they have an on going deal that gives you selected entrees for $11.99 or $13.99 for salad, entree and desert. Great deal as it's only pennies over the regular price of the entree alone. Jst enjoyed one last night at the RT 535 location near Downtown Disney / Cypress Pointe. Maggiano's is good too but it is on International Drive and As I recall a little more costly.

Thanks are they about the same price wise? Looks like entrees at Macaroni Grill are about $10-$15..not sure about Maggianos? I see they have the family style. Any idea how much that is?

The family style at Maggiano's is A LOT of food, but a little pricey. They give you a choice of 2 apps, 2 salads, 2 pastas, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. The bowls can be refilled as many times as necessary, and you can usually take the leftovers home. These dishes are on the lower end of the price scale (not a lot of beef or seafood). Everything is delicious, though! The Rigatoni D is my favorite!

Macaroni Grill is a little less expensive, and I have found some of their food, especially their Lobster Ravioli, to be even better than Maggianos'. They usually have some kind of pasta deal going on too.

You can't go wrong with either place -- they are both run by the same company. :goodvibes

I went to Maggiano's with my mom, in NJ. We didn't have family style, but the meals we had were $10-15 range.

Family style is not mandatory.

I haven't been to the Maggiano's in Orlando, but we visit the one here every now and then. The family style meal is around $20 to 25 a person with a minimum of 4.
We love Mac Grill too though and its definetly cheaper

I think we may try Macaroni Grill. I am looking at using some mypoints and we have done Olive Garden/Rainforest/Fridays enough...

if its like the maggianos near us in pa they are $$$,I would call for price!

I have not been to Maggiano's...
I live where we have limited choices.

I may be a huge dissenter, but I simply do not like Macaroni Grill.
I know a couple of others who feel the same.
It seems that they use a lot of some kind of spices like capers and black pepper in their dishes. :scared:

Last time we tried Macaroni Grill, I actually sent my dish back and just asked if they could bring me some fettuccini alfredo, and it still had that taste to it.

Give me Olive Garden ANY day! :goodvibes

Personally, I think Maggiano's blows away Macaroni Grill, but I do think it is a tad more expensive.

Worth it to me.

We like the one on I Drive inOrlando and I agree but we go for lunch which is substantially cheaper. I will say that at lunch they do not have the tenderloin steak but still the chicken dishes are to die for.Do not fill up on the salad but wait for the meal. We always take home enough for supper. The chocolate zucatto cake is fantastic. Last time I was there the waiter gave me a piece to take home all nicely wrapped JUST FOR ME because I had mentioned that my son would grab the leftovers and I would never get a taste. I have gone there 4 times over the past two summers and it has been great. The one in Boston however, not so much. I used to me a Macaroni Grill Fan and had been going there for approximately 14 years since my son was 6 but it has gone down hill big time. The bread is not great and the entrees are just so so. I know that both restaurants are owned by the same corporation I think it is the Brinker Group but I also know that they are trying to get sell Macaroni Grill because the business has gone down substantially (my husband is in the food business and he gets a monthly restaurant newspaper).
