Maelstrom, scary or not?

Is maelstrom a scary ride for a person who is scared of heights & drops? The drop in pirates of the Caribbean scares me

If the drop in Pirate's scares you, then the Maelstrom is about the same.

About half way through, it gets light and you can clearly see the drop. It is extremely mild.

Maelstrom is not as bad as pirates. Pirates is dark so always feels like a bigger drop then is. Maelstrom feels like you are going to go backwards then you go forward the fall but it's all lit up and smooth. NOT like splash mountain at all. Tiny.

I'm also a scaredy but I go on as much as I can do because I know it's irrational and I don't want y kids to be scared. I don't do RnR EE or TOT but everything else I do.
