Ok made the airline ressies months ago, made the hotel ressies months ago, made the Dining ressies the day they became available, made plans for the parks months ago, read TGM today and found that at least 6 of our days that we have scheduled are for days that are a DONT GO NEAR THIS PARK days!! I just could scream!! I am going to keep all our plans (there is no way we can get the dates and times again there are 7 of us with a wheelchair and stroller )and just carry on with them. We are going during Christmas and we knew it wa the most crowded time of the year to go but after reading the information I am a little depressed . Oh well, We are still going to be in WDW and that is GREAT!!!!! Maybe I can bribe TGM and he can put info like everyone go to "such and such a park" on his site and everyone will go there and leave us alone in the other park????? nahhhhhhhh oh well. Live and learn. If you have not already signed up for TGM you should do it and make sure you READ the info first, then make your dining ressies....not the reverse as I did.

Oh well, at least you'll know what to expect. Even though it's probably too late to change your ADRs, you still could change which park to visit on a given day, and then take a monorail or bus over to your ADR when it's time. Too bad you didn't subscribe to TGM sooner; you could have avoided all this!
Anyhow, good luck; hope it all works out for the best.

I am so bad. oh well Christmas at WDW is great anyway!!!!

We are going Christmas Week too, but I plan to arrive as early as possible each day and to avoid the Evening Extra Magic Hours Parks. Just don't plan to get everything done and be willing to go with the flow.

seems I have made many dining ressies in parks that were not recommended to go to on that day.!! Oh well!

:wizard: this is my first post on these threads and all i can say is at least you'll be there. we just returned in oct. and are ready to go back no matter what the crowds are like. gotta go now planning my next trip.

I was in the same situation not too long ago. Made all my plans, ADRs, planned which park to go to and when, then I checked TGM and of course I'd made every possible mistake. Had to do everything again and had to give up a few dinner ADRs (Le Cellier,Rose & Crown). You should try and see if you can change a couple of them though, cant hurt to try.

This is what is stinky stanky about the dining plans. I hate not having flexibility!

AMEN AMEN AMEN! I feel like I was forced to plan my trip 6 months ago and decide what day we were going to be where. Now I don't want the CP dinner package on the day we have it and it's too late to change it, I wouldn't have made reservations at Liberty Tree the first day we're there if I had known about the parade taping (or at least understood the implications on crowds at MK, which is my favorite park and where I like to go first), and so on. I was lucky I could change the Marrakech reservation so it didn't interfere with the Yuletide Fantasy Tour because of course I had to get the ADR long before the tickets were on sale for the tour. Too much regimentation. And yep, looks like we will be fighting crowds the whole trip when I thought the first week in Dec. was supposed to be a relaxing time to go. Oh, well, live and learn, Maybe it will cure me of my Disney obsession?

Go to the link on the top of all these pages and click on the Tour Guide Mike header. You have to pay to join the website (I think $18.95 with the DIS discount). His site has a TON of information and advice, which can be quite confusing to go through, but fun if you have the time. Your subscription is good from the time you join until 60 days after your trip.

What people are talking about on this thread is probably the most valuable part of his website. Starting about 6 months out, he has specific information for each day telling you which parks are the best to visit for that morning or evening. He explains his reasoning behind the recommendation so you understand why to go where. Even if your visit is really soon, I think the price (about the cost of any other guidebook) is worth it just to get this info.

Try to change some of your ADRs, I changed four of mine on Friday. All of them were for dates between Dec 19 and 26th. They only thing I wasn't successful at was getting Fantasmic Dinner Package for Mamma Melrose. There were ADR's available for the restaurant, but not packages. Now, I'm sure some of the more popular Epcot places, such as Le Cellier are booked full for most days during dinner hours, but there are still opening.

Make a quick "if I could start now" schedule and see how many ADRs you can get. You may be surprised! Just don't cancel any of your original ressies until you see how you can mesh the ideal schedule and the one you made originally. If you are flexible in the places and/or times that you eat you may be able to get pretty close to ideal. Good luck!
