Went to the store today with all intentions of getting the Nikon Coolpix L22 but ended up coming home with a Coolpix 100!

So give it to me photography people! The good, the bad, the ugly, and mostly...some tips for taking the best photos with my new camera!

Thanks in advance to the photography board!

I had the P80 which was 2 models before the one you brought home and loved it. It's a great little camera with a nice zoom on it. The easy way to take nice pictures is to put it on Auto, hold the shutter 1/2 way down to focus and push it in to take the picture. If you want to get creative, you need to know what the shutter does in relation to letting in light and how that works hand in hand with aperture and ISO.

It's funny, with all my family wanting the latest and greatest but smallest camera, my camera always felt huge. Switch to a dslr for a few months and hold the P100 again and you'll think it's all cute and tiny :lmao:

I was playing with some of the DSLRs in the shop and WOW do they get heavy!

I still have to learn about shutter speed/aperture and all, but I really want to be able to capture a picture in the foreground while having the background out of focus.

I'm just so overwhelmed with everything I have to learn and play around with!

I've jsut got an L110, thoguht it would be a good little camera to start me off before purchasing a DSLR.
