Had to make the change to save money. Only hope the code comes out before the 45 deadline. If that becomes the case going to swith back to CSR.
Now the question. Will my soon to be DW and I like POP?
Any thoughts???????????

Having stayed at both. I tend to like Pop better.

It's newer, eaiser to find you way around. (CSR is very confusing IMHO) and the front desk staff has a clue. (I have stayed at CSR three times. Three MAJOR screw ups by the front desk. I will stay there again, but at this point I just figure they will screw something up and don't let it bother me. I did pitch a fit when I was told that having a hotel room with NO POWER was not a real problem at CSR! LOL!)

And the food court does not tack on 10% for "service" (I have never seen "service" at the food court, but I guess getting shown to one of the few "clean" tables is "service"?)

CarolA - my thoughts exactly. We don't like Pepper Market at CSR, and we favor the food court at Pop. If I want a sit-down meal with a 10% gratuity, then I'll go to a table service restaurant - thank you.

CSR always manages to mess things up at the front desk. The help there needs to learn the words "pleasant" and "smile". I think there's a prerequisite for working there that your smile muscles stay outside of work, and that you're an airhead who messes things up easily.

Pop has the best CMs. They're always pleasant, they care about everything, and they never seem to "mess up" on small things. Pop's housekeeping, maintenance, etc. are always waving and smiling. They're outgoing and smart. All CMs at Pop seem totally interested in their guests.

So - yes. I think you both will love Pop.

We've stayed at POR and POFQ and this past February we stayed at Pop for the first time. We've loved it. No problems whatsoever. We spend so little time in our room while at WDW so I thought why not try a value. Believe me I was a little nervous. I don't know why now. I love the theming of Pop and its just so Disney. Our DS8 loved it too. In fact, I've booked another trip to Pop for next February. I don't see any need to go back to a moderate after our stay at Pop. We loved the food court and we never waited more than five minutes for a bus. We also had a short walk from our room to Classic Hall and the buses. Hope this helps.

Here's another poster who prefers Pop to CSR. We will not go back to CSR. Front desk was slow and not helpful. Pepper Market is a PITA if you want something quick. Pop is just terrific. We'd always been moderate resort people and still really like POR and POFQ, but Pop is our new favorite resort. We stayed there in February and are headed back next month. To me, there are plenty of other things on which you can spend the money you'll save.

I havestayed at other values and didn't like them but always went back to Port Orleans but recently my dd and i stayed at pop for a mom and dd trip , it was very nice and the food court was great! I would recommend pop!

WE are considering POP also. Have only stayed Mod resort so unsure about value.

This will also be our first stay at a value. We have only stayed at moderates. I did it this time for the kids. They really didn't have a great time at POR our last trip so i'm hoping POP will be a little more kid friendly!

CSR! The buses - the buses - the buses! We've never had to stand up coming or going to the parks. All other things considered, for us it is the TRANSPORTATION!
