We just made our PSs for our May Trip .It is only my DH and Myself.we made our ressies for Artist Point,O Hana, Fultons, And Boma.
Can you tell me what you think of these restaurants, this is our first to all of these.
we have always took our family with us and this will be our first trip alone,we are DVC members and staying at VWL.i want this to be a very romantic trip, so how do these restaurants sound?

thanks,misty:smooth:

Boma has excellent food, but it can be a little noisy. You will like the atmosphere.

Fultons is okay, just an average seafood restaurant in my book. Others might like it.

Did Ohana last summer, a bit noisy, food was okay. They bring the food out on a skewer and slide it off onto your plate. If you like smoked, barbequed meat, you will enjoy it.

Haven't done Artist Point.

Not sure if you have been to WL but the building/lobby/courtyard etc. is stunning. The restaurant has an excellent selection of North West foods and has a decent selection and very adult atmosphere.

You will love it there

Have a good dinner and bon appetite!

Thanks
Jason

I just got back last week from Disney. My boyfriend and I had dinner at Artist Point on our last night and we both loved it. Dinner was delicious, service was great, and the ambiance was very romantic. Take some time to walk around the lobby and outside by the pool and guyser if you haven't before.

Any particular menu items at any of these places recommended/particularly good?

At Artist Point my boyfriend had the mixed grill which had venison, rabbit, and something else. He liked it very much. I'm not a big venison person but I tried a piece and it was very good. I had buffalo which I had never tried and it was also very good. I loved the mashed sweet potatos that came with it. There were nuts and another mystery ingredient that made them so yummy.

Artist Point is known for their Cedar Plank Salmon. My husband gets this every May and has always enjoyed it. This is one of our favorites the ambiance, the service, the food - all excellent. Depending on when you arrive in May you may be there when the Copper River Salmon comes in - its only available a few weeks a year and is amazing! I have had the mixed grill (which can change seasonally/weekly) but has always been good and the buffalo which has been excellent. The cobbler is delicious.

'Ohana - we eat here quite often as well - only problem is we always are sooooo stuffed we can hardly make it back to our hotel! (even when we're staying at Polynesian). The pork and turkey medallions in the peanut sauce are excellent. The sides are okay, but the main point of this place is the meat skewers. Don't overlook Kona Cafe for a good meal if you'd like something a little less over the top!

Boma - have only done breakfast here, but enjoyed it. The service has been hit or miss, but the food was good. The only thing I didn't care for was how busy and loud it was. The area is very open and it carries up to the lounge. Jiko, however, did not seem to suffer this problem. We had a meal at the sous chefs prep area and loved it. If you are looking for a more romantic meal being just the two of you I would highly recommend Jiko. The tenderloin filet really is great.
