It felt like a great victory to have a peaceful, enjoyable time with my crew at the Taste of Chicago today. I had my three children 5, 7, and 10 plus two more both a year old. One of the babies was just with me for a long weekend so his mom could get a break. He went home tonight. The other baby is my foster baby.
The hard part was getting through the crowds with the double stroller. People were so friendly and kind though. Since it was the last night, people handed us their tickets as they left. I didn't even have to spend a dollar! I guess the children drew their attention!
We enjoyed the Jesse White tumblers and other entertainment. They are so easily pleased with little things, I can't wait to see their joy when they see Disney for the first time!
