We've stayed at the GCH several times and we always see a kitty or two while out on the deck by Whitewater Snacks. I never knew there were so many and at both parks!
I saw several on my last trip. Mostly down by the hungry bear restaraunt like someone mentioned, and over in DCA by condor flats. Theres a big rock to your left as you walk into Condor Flats from the main entrance and there was one sitting up there. Saw that one a few times.
We saw the same kitten at DCA last week, too! He/she is very cute...my boys wanted to take him home with us! DH has pictures of the kitty....I'm sure it was the same one...we saw it in the landscaping between Monsters, Inc and the Muppets.
We also saw a mouse in the Pooh que at DL. It was tiny and cute, I'll have to admit!
I know they feed some of the cats behind Whitewater Snacks as I've seen the paper plates with cat food in the bushes (behind the fence that separates the restaurant from DCA). I've also heard that Disney spays/neuters and releases. I think they would have to or the cats would be completely out of control. I've also done some spay/neuter/release with a feral colony in my neighborhood and I know without it they can quickly multiply!
We saw a kitty too. This week-end.
He was so cute. We saw him (her?) at that show area with the benches right in front of Monsters Inc at DCA. He just came right up to me and batted at my fingers.
Later a CM was walking by and we asked her about the cats, and she said they were brought in to control the rats. Hopefully it's working. lol
We saw a cat with a couple of kittens at DCA, can't remember exactly where, it was in some bushes I think near the Grizzly River Rapids ride - we breed cats at home so got all excited, we didn't think we'd see any while on our trip.
