Made a Halloween Mickey light for our October trip

I had this idea a while back and wasn't sure how it would turn out, but now that it's done, I'm thrilled. Can't wait to hang this up in a few weeks!

I've made some plain ones using CDNcruiser's instructions before - this time I just added some 14 gauge steel to form the wings. The orange and purple rope lights are at Walmart right now. (it looks more orange in person)

Maybe someone can lend a hand with this image posting. I've obviously tried a few ways and can't tell if I'm doing it completely wrong or if my work filter is keeping it from showing for me.

That looks great! I want my DH to make something like that now.

clicking on the short flickr link above worked just fine. You could delete the last part - from img to img.

That looks pretty cool. Short link to flicker was fine for me. I know with Photobucket it's simply click on the link and paste to my posts, but not sure how Flick works. I also have a Photobucket app on my phone that amazingly works really well. Hopefully someone with more experience with Flick can lend a hand.

Since the lights are 15' long, I had to cover the portions of the purple that cross over Mickey's face. I used black adhesive vinyl, but only because I couldn't find my electrical tape.
