Did anyone watch this last night? DH, DS and I tried to watch it. DS age 2.75 loves all Pixar movies and is just beginning to branch out to other types of shows. We've never watched Madagascar but this show last night was crazy to us! It was all over the place. DH and I had trouble following what was happening! I told him it was like watching a tv show with ADD. By the end I was tired from trying to pay attention.

Did anyone else feel this way?

If you've seen the Madagascar movies, it makes sense without too much effort. However, I can see how it would be difficult without knowing the premise. Rent the movies and see if it helps.

I agree with PP if you haven't seen the movies, it could be hard to follow! My DS(2) LOVES his Manna (Madagascar), as he has called it for the past year. We have even gone through 2 dvds of each movie!

I loved the penguins trying to land the sleigh: "Stay on target ... stay on target ...."

That's the same line you'll always hear in old WW2 action movies as the plane gets lined up for the bombing run.

What station was it on??? I saw it in the tv guide yet it wasn't listed in the schedule!

I think it was hard to follow because of the commercials. Every time it would break my kids lost focus. It was cute though.

Oh yeah we caught it too! DS(6) & DD(4) loved it! In fact my son came straight home did his homework, ate his dinner, & took his bath all w/o complaining :woohoo: so that he could watch it in bed. It was a good evening :cloud9: DH & I love the lemurs esp. King Julien and Mort (yes Mort) and you gotta love the penguins "Just :) & wave boys just :) & wave"

I loved the movies and haven't seen the Chrsitmas show. I hope they play it again.

Walmart is selling the dvd for $5. I preordered when a poster on another thread posted that walmart had all the new release pre-orders for $10 (btw, I preordered harry potter, g-force and santa buddies). But the Madagascar holiday special was only $5, so I ordered it, b/c I know my boys (11 and 8) love that show!

Haven't watched it yet, though, since it hasn't arrived. Hoping that my other walmart pre-orders don't arrive to far after the release dates!;)

I just watched it with the kids and could there have been anymore commercials?!?! It was so bad!

I agree though, I think I would be totally lost not seeing the movies!

our shopper had it for $8

It was very cute! Then again, we love the movies. My son is always waving his hands at me going "You didn't seeee annnnnyyyyything." And "Smile and wave boys, smile and wave." And let's not forget his personal favorite...

"If you have any Pooh, fling it now."

Thought the Christmas show was cute but you would definitely need to have seen the movies.

I thought it was cute, but it would not have made any sense without the character development from the movies.

It did have too many commercials. We taped it and watched it in about 15 minutes thanks to the fast forward button.

dumb question... so the movie at walmart for $5 is the same as what was on tv?? it say's it's only 22 minutes long???
