I get "what" it is, but can someone explain to me how it works? I mean, I see on the website, there are always several times listed (like 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 9:00). Is that the times the main band plays? or are there several "shows" (like say Aladdin at DCA) and you only go for the show you want? And the first one (whether the first one is at 6:00 or 7:00, or whatever) always has an :05 time right after it (like if 6:00 is the first time, then there is a 6:05; or if 7:00 is first and then there is 7:05) What's that all about? :confused3

Also, is it like WOC where you need to get a FP "ticket" earlier in the day to get in?

We want to make sure we check it out on our trip this coming Christmas, and just want to make sure I understand what we need to do (don't want to get the kids all excited about it, and then mess up and not be able to get in because we didn't get a FP, or miss something because I didn't understand the times).

Thanks for your help!!! :worship:

There's always a little show at the entrance to the area at 6:00pm, then the main band starts playing as people are let into the area (6:05). The rest of the times are when the band plays.

No need for a FastPass.

When people are let into the area? I thought this was on the street between attractions.

It is in the back of the Hollywood back lot by Monsters Inc and Muppets.

As @Imtooexcitedtosleep said, they let you in at 6:05. After that, you come and go as you please until they close.

Sometimes (not too often), the band will not play and the DJ will play all night.

I understand that this is targeted at teens and young adults. So will my family enjoy it? (DH and I are pushing that 40 mark and we don't drink and boys 7 & 9).

Thanks for the info! Are there any "tricks" I need to know about it? (Getting in, getting a good spot to watch the show, or anything else like that?)

And do you know if there are any specific nights the band doesn't play, and just the DJ plays? (We're planning on watching it Sunday 12/23)

Thanks!! :yay:

I've read you get a password from a hatter and give it to the tweedles to get in... which is fun! We can't wait to do this and try some of the special drinks (alcoholic and non) they offer! :ccat:

I've seen lots of adults of all ages who do or don't drink that enjoy the party. And kids seem to really like it because they get to have a dance party and see some cool performers. There's also an arcade with carnival type games they may enjoy. There are also a few nonalcoholic drinks you can try that come in cool souvenir cups!

There are no particular tricks or tips. The stage is set up in front of Monsters Inc. The band is easy to see from up front to in the back (which isn't very far back). It is a lot more open than I can explain with only words. The stage is very easy to get to the front if you so chose because it isn't densly packed. The White Rabbit DJ plays on the same stage when the band isn't there so it is easy to see him/her as well.

Over toward the very back of the back lot, where the arcade is, there is a pyramid made to look like a house of cards and there is an elevated stage. The Tweedles show up twice per hour, once to introduce Who R U (neat little dance performance) and again to introduce the House of Cards dancers or something like that, to do a dance for 1 song.

Here is a rough schedule. So let's say it starts at 6pm. The band plays 6-6:20, DJ until 6:35, Who R U until 6:40, DJ until 6:55, House of cards dance for 1 song which brings you into 7pm to start the cycle over again.

I dont know if there are scheduled days for when the band doesn't play. I happen to follow the DJ that plays on sundays (DJ Adam Auburn) on twitter and I've seen him tweet once or twice that he was going to be playing all night. So it seems random, maybe band members getting sick or something.

As far as enjoying it, it is up to your taste in music and tolerance for music you don't like.
The band is a cover band with a wide range. 2 songs I specifically remember them playing is "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police and "Love Stoned" by Justin Timberlake.

The DJs play electronic music varying from popular dance songs you hear on the radio like LMFAO and Rihanna, to not as widely played dubstep (even though it seems to be everywhere), and other electronic mixes.
