Mad Tea Party

Have seen this mentioned a few times. What is it?

Mad T Party is a dance party type event that goes on nightly in the Hollywood Land area of DCA. It has a DJ, some techno music, and interesting things to see (dancers, people walking on stilts dressed as flamingoes, etc). There's also drinking (anything in a neon cup is alcohol). It's meant to be "family friendly" but seems geared toward the young adult demographic. BFF and I (26 and 35 years old) enjoy it overall, dancing a little on our mommy weekend trips, but always feel a little odd having an alcoholic drink with kids around.

They do sell alcohol but it feels more like an event geared towards teenagers.

Mad Tea Party is the teacup ride in Disneyland. Mad T Party is the nightly party in California Adventure.

As mikedoyleblogger said, Mad T Party is an evening entertainment party over on DCA. It runs nightly during the busier parts of the year, but during the less-busier period it only runs on the weekends (Fri to Sun, normally).

Definintely go see it while you are there. The band sets are just 25 minutes or so long. Really creative effects and costumes. Between sets there is a DJ with dancing and other acts on another stages. Some are dancing and one I watched were acrobats. The DJ music is much louder than the band with lots of bass, so be ready for that if it's not your thing. They have some air hockey tables that are just 25cents that are fun as well. An arcade is at the far end, but I didn't get much out of that really. They are games that at other places you typically would win tickets to cash in for prizes, but there, you don't get anything, other than just to play them. On Fridays the crowd skews younger, but as a passholder I've seen all ages enjoying, including a 60-65ish guy dancing like crazy at every show I've seen there so far. Near Halloween they change it up a bit as well.
