Has anyone attended this event. I would love some feedback on it, as I am planning on trying to book it for my daughter when we visit in October. :cloud9:

It's the Wonderland Tea Party (Mad Hatter is there so yes it does become the Mad Tea Party!). All of my kids have gone to this, in fact this will be my dd's third time in July and ds (turning 5 this trip) 2nd time. The kids have a ball. The girls love the tea party theming and Alice, the boys love the Mad Hatter, and everyone loves the games the eating backwards! I think the kids have a great time.

My girls loved this! :cheer2:

We did this on the last day of our trip, before we were driving to part two of our vacation (in a condo relaxing) and it was a great way to end the Disney week.

We dropped the girls off and I was able to take a few photos of the girls before we left to get a quick lunch outside at the Grand Floridian, and checked out the hotel and shops.

When we picked them up, they were thrilled with the event... the best part, they said, was that they got to eat desert first! :goodvibes

They each got a cute character photo. From my perspective, not only did it sound like a great event, but also, it was not a character meal I had to attend and pay for. :rotfl: Fun for them and at a reasonable cost. You can't go wrong! :earboy2:

Here is the info (it was cheaper two years ago-what wasn't- and no parents stayed with their kids):

Wonderland Tea Party

Even children can experience some of the charms that the Grand Floridian has to offer in one of its most recent offerings, the Wonderland Tea Party. At this pint-size tea party, guests from 3 to10 years of age will hear stories, have a little lunch and be entertained by some Disney characters known to participate in a famous tea party of their own. The children will take a “hands-on” approach to their dining as they finger-paint/decorate their own cupcakes and munch on heart-shaped peanut butter and jam sandwiches. Chocolate dipped Rice Krispie squares, and the Grand Floridian’s special brand of children’s tea (aka apple juice) is also served.

The “Wonderland Tea Party” is offered Monday and Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the cost is $28.17 per child. There is a maximum of 25 children to ensure that each child gets a lot of personal attention from the entertainment (Mad Hatter & Alice usually, but this is subject to change) and the recreation Cast Members. Parents are welcome to stay and observe the fun, but may prefer to use the time to book a spa treatment, shop (in the elegant Grand Floridian shops), take a walking tour of the beautiful grounds, have a quick lunch at the Grand Floridian Café, rent watercraft at the marina or just sit and enjoy the ambience of the magnificent lobby. Call (407)WDW-DINE to book this or check with Guest Services at the resort. This can be booked 120 days in advance.

Cancellations must be done at least 24 hours in advance or there is a $10 “no show” charge. Children attending the Tea Party must be potty trained and must arrive 15 minutes prior to tea-time.

My daughter attended the Wonderland Tea Party in May and parents are not allowed to stay, parents receive a pager. This was $30 and she had a blast!
